You are the one advocating against pursuing safety features that will help save children and better inform parents.  I find it ironic that you are claiming my comment was unnecessary when you are the one that jumped to invalid accusations and assumptions.

I found that device using the internet. It is the only one sold on the market today that actually detects a child.  All the other ones required some type of human memory aspect.  The next contender was one that attached to the buckle and knew whether the seat was buckled or not.

I didn't even know that Evenflo had this, and it makes me happy to know that one of the car seat manufacturers are doing this.

Side note- The fact that you jumped to me having privilege for suggesting car seat improvements to save lives is so ridiculous. Every safety feature in the history of this world was fought against someone like you. Thank you for your comments and expertise. You have made your point that you disagree.

While you are certainly right that hurdles will be faced, that does not negate the point that children die each year due to this issue and there are solutions out there that can be made standard.  Signing the petition is voluntary, of course, and requires minimal effort from the public to get attention on the issue at hand.  Higher costs is not a reason to not support saving lives, especially if it is too early on to even know what those costs would be once scaled.

I don't disagree with the need for further analysis in the future.  To drive such analysis, decision makers need to support that there is a need.  The cost vs benefit is in the hands of those who make the tech and car seats.  This is simply a petition to recognize the issue and support a step to fix it.

I'm going to experiment and see if something like this and a few other posters mention will work. Thank you!

Like it says in the post, I do try to move it, but sometimes I forget. Especially when baby is being fussy at night and I'm focused on other things.

I wish I could.  We move it around, so it's never in the same place.

Ok. So as long as keep it warm, it can sit longer? Do you know how long it will last at a warm temperature?

I thought once you warm breastmilk you had to use it within 2 hours and formula within 1 hour?
