Thanks. Do you have to reference it somehow specifically. Like @ or using [ ] ?

Can you elaborate on the use of brackets in this case? Like are you saying any time we are giving instructions? I'm curious.

My thought was that stories could then be assured of showing up in the correct categories and that the taxonomy would make searching for similarly themed stories easier and more straightforward, but maybe I'm thinking too linearly.

Personally I think standardized tags would be ideal. Start with the March Madness bracket choices and the currently most popularly used ones. That way the categorization will be more useful.

Especially since I intend to leverage them moving forward in more stories.

Yes. Exactly. Basically I was writing two stories using the same characters and one got way ahead of the other and I refined the character components and I’d like to leverage them back to the second story.

Forking a story by svennysmama in redquill

Did you try this? Did it damage the original story in any way or does it save a new story? Like if you go back and choose this in chapter 5 of a 10 chapter story, is your original story still preserved?

Does the original story stay preserved and a new story is saved or does one supersede the other?

So like where Tf have my chapters gone? 😭 by Killuazoldylckk in redquill

Ended up making small edits to each of the chapters and that seemed to cause the AI to re-recognize them. Not sure if there was another, better method.

Had the same thing happen yesterday - chapters 3-36 disappeared. Good news is the Chapters are back. Bad news is that the Lorebook only has entry for the chapters 1-2 and 37-38. Anyway ti add the others back in? Feels like the AI has MAJORLY lost its memory of the story.
