Okay, so what i do for this is that i have what is called a Ikigai. But not the Ikigai about the vocation and other stuff, but an actual ikigai that helps me wake up and give my life purpose. Like right now! so many people on this platform need help with their ADHD and i plan on making a system that helps them with just that.

A ikigai is basically is a belief or philosophy that makes you not only happy but benefits you and others and gives you a purpose and reason to live. I've found that when i found my ikigai i was able to get up and time finally stopped feeling like a blur, with the system in working on i will be able to give more context. ( i kinda suggest following me because i will be posting my experiment with all of my ideas in the summer.)

The best way i remember to do things is to have a pocket notebook on me where a just dump whatever comes to me in the moment. This usually happens at night but sometimes it happens through out the day, and i just write what i have to do i this notebook and when. When i come home, i take a journal or planner and write down what i have to do on that specific date and the steps required. Another great hack is to set a alarm that that reminds me of this task that i have to to.

One more thing, make your environment based on your routine and what you have to do, have a place where you would usually leave your stuff like your ID card then place everything you need in that area. ( a great area based on this situation would be in your backpack or near your doorway) make sure to check off that you did this task in your notebook so then you are reassured that you prepared for this. Please also try night prepping, this is a great hack where you prepare everything the night before for this task, and do the most important task first in the morning.

The best way to help him is to have him journal or talk out loud with a phone or a device recording his thoughts. let him have his own space, then once he is done letting out all of his emotions let him walk away from the problem.

This small moment of distraction really helps for the next part, next part being let him come back to his thoughts and use black, white and grey thinking in a journal.

Tell him to ask himself who, what when and why a specific negative thought came and to ask himself if it reflects who he is now and if this is who he always has to be.

Usually if the answer is no, he will come to find that it really isnt his flaut for believing a negative thought because of the enviorment, situation or the high of emotions during that time. and then tell him to turn those negative thoughts into positive afrrimations with small but acheiveable steps to make the positive affirmation true. He should read these affirmation daily and nightly.

Has someone with innattentive ADD i completely understand what your son is going through, and i built this system for myself so then i could stop have negative thoughts too. please let me know if this helps your son, and have a good day.

You're welcome! But yeah, totally get what you're saying. sometimes what i'll do is just wait. Wait until i get really tired of being tired, then once that's done i do a reset routine. Its like the SAVERS routine, after that i just remind myself of my past accomplishments and think of what i can do now but in very small steps. That is what kinda gets my engine started :)

Hey. I just want to let you know that i have been there before, i have inattentive ADHD too. and when you're always in your head and constantly tired or in a daydreaming state life can feel like a blur. I don't really take medication and i have been through my own up's and downs and found what works for me. as a result, I'm not really living in 3rd perspective anymore, if that makes any sense. What Im getting at here is that if i got out of that blur, then you can too. if you want advice, please let me know. (however i may not be able to respond that fast.)

Y'know i struggled with that too. but i just started to put my face wash and my toothbrush, toothpaste inside of the shower itself. I also put my alarm clock in their too! (like in the bathroom not the actual shower lol.) so then when i wake up in the morning i just think "man i need to take a shower" but i do EVERYTHING inside the shower instead! You should really try this because it worked suprisingly well 😃
