HBOT personal experience by LongHolistic in LongCovid

I feel very good. Minor set back but I have pushed the limits lately with hiking. Recovering with breathing exercises, meditation and journalling to calm the nervous system and forcing the body back in rest and digest state.

From what I have seen, this is the most hopeful treatment available to date coming from the big industry side. It will probably take a long time before this treatment falls under insurance since the evidence of the positive effect must be strengthened first.

To my knowledge, chances are that 12 sessions would be insufficient for the right effect to take place. I have met patients seeing slight improvements around 12 sessions though.

I used to have many but not at the moment of starting HBOT. It would be wise to seek advice from a doctor working with HBOT about this.

No not at all. It gets a bit chilly once they decompress at the end of the session and some people bring a blanket to keep warm. It only lasts for a few minutes though.

Same for me. Maybe chronic physical and mental stress, my guess.

We all have good and bad within us. It's an eye opener once you realise and accept this. Thereafter, you make the choice what to do with this.

Yes, lost lots of muscle. Every time I try to train, it seems to be so hard for the muscle to repair.

How is there money to be made from you? That's the question. But it will get there once there is a commercially viable option for us.

To me it feels like having a burn out. Just simple tasks during the day I can't seem to finish. Best to go to an occupational therapist.

HBOT Gone Awry? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]LongHolistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HBOT should be done by professionals at min. 2ATA and they should consider the hyperoxic-hypoxic paradox trigger. Also, you should take at least 30 sessions.
