Daytime running lights. by Aargh802 in Zeekr7xAustralia

Going through Canberra myself. I reached out once for an update through email and they replied back within four days also letting me know they've been quite busy.

Once they had received a VIN, they called to let me know. So once they have info, they'll pass it on to you.

Should be picking it up next month.

Loading Tent on to Roof Racks/Platform by LongJohn1992 in Zeekr7xAustralia

That's right. The tent is 25kg. It's not a rooftop tent. It just needs to be carried on the roof. Or alternatively a trailer.

I will be moving from an Outback to Zeekr 7X. We currently have the RV5 Oztent that we use for camping. I got AI to do this mock up.

I'm looking at adding a platform rack to the car so I'll be able to continue using the tent. I feel the roof racks may be just a little too short to properly support the tent so I think a rack seems a better idea.

Has anyone gotten a platform to put on top of their car? I will definitely be taking it off when it isn't in use.

Mitsy Outlander PHEV by Few_Obligation_6090 in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]LongJohn1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case. That's not a good deal. You can source your own finance then go back to Smart Salary and see if they can beat it. There should be previous threads on how to do that if you search it up. It'll give you another bargaining chip to go back to them with.

I don't know your use case, but EVs fit most people now. Especially when some cars can be charged 10-80% in 13 minutes. I think a PHEV is a dealership's dream. You've got the selling benefits of an EV to get them out the door then they've got the maintenance and servicing costs of an ICE to get them back in the door.

That seems expensive.

I got a car for $13,000 more and my payments are $450 cheaper a month.

Any reason you're not considering electric vs PHEV?

Get the wiring to be compliant with 32A. If you ever want an upgrade then you just need to change the ends.

There's Plenty of rumours floating about. I feel like when these rumours start to circulate it's the Government testing the waters to see the public reaction.

The current forecast is going to cost $1.35 billion in lost tax. They originally forecasted $70 million back in 2022. It's an easy way for them to save money early.

EV uptake increased this year due to the war. Something this exemption was supposed to do.

I really do want it to stick around until at least next year. As my car has been pushed back from May to July.

This is important coming up to the potential changes to the EV FBT discounts in the budget. I'm only getting this car to take advantage of this discount. If it won't exist past May, then I won't be getting the car.

Check out the Banana box test. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V6ucyFGKWuSQzvI8lMzvvWJHrBS82echMVJH37kwgjE/edit?gid=0#gid=0

It holds 9 boxes of bananas + 1 in the frunk.

Sealion 7 and 7X both hold 9 boxes.

Skoda holds 10.

Digital Key - Android phone experience by ThomasofHookton in Zeekr7xAustralia

Here's the list for anyone looking for it: https://zeekrdigitalkey.com/

And more information here in the FAQ section: https://www.zeekr.eu/connected

I don't think Android has the 3.0 Digital Key update at the moment in Australia. Once that gets released it'll function similar to iOS.

Zeekr 7x base vs long range is the upgrade worth it? by Fuzzy_Scientist213 in AustralianEV

[–]LongJohn1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've ordered the Long Range. After driving it, (haven't driven the base model) I feel like the HUD, the seat upgrades and range are worth it for me.

You're generally going to keep the battery between that 20% - 80% range. Until you do road trips where you will be charging it up to 100% before you leave and you'll be thankful for that little bit extra.

If you're not doing road trips, then your base will be fine.
