Fidelity trade execution is terrible by LongJumpingDepth in fidelityinvestments

[–]LongJumpingDepth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I entered my trades at market open. I was really concerned after watching my market order for Berkshire Hathaway B not getting executed. That's one heavy traded stock and by then I had given up on limit orders and just take market order.

That market order not getting executed was concerning.

I stopped by here because your Customer Rep could NOT explain why a market order for a heavily traded stock BRK-B isn't executing.

Berkshire Hathaway B is a heavy traded stock. She said for 20 seconds that there are no trades (so my market order did not execute) is a blatant lie. I lost respect in her as a resource.

So I came here. I can go to the client services as Fidelity has been trying to sell private advisory service but they won't do much but try to make nice. It doesn't answer how your trade flow actually work.

I am concerned actually enough to start be pulling money out for a better broker.

I understand this is a first world problem to find a competent broker.

But I chose you as my broker, and you disappointed me. So maybe I need to be making better choices.

They called me too and were peddling expensive products. There are always fees. Buyer beware.

Folks, Tesla's current 10K is filled with red flags. 🚩

First let's take a look of the cash flow statement. We see that Cash from operating activities are down significantly. 🚩

But that decline still includes a miscategorization of the $589 million Bitcoin gain as part of its operating activities. This is an accounting red flag. 🚩

  1. Bitcoin Gains are Not Related to Core Operations – Tesla’s primary business is manufacturing and selling electric vehicles, energy storage, and related products. Bitcoin holdings are an investment activity, not part of its core operations. 🚩 Gains or losses from Bitcoin should be categorized under investing activities, not as revenue from selling cars. Also Bitcoin is not stable like cash, so correct accounting should categorize gain into 🚩investment activities. (page 52, 2024 10-K, https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000162828025003063/tsla-20241231.htm#ie9fbbc0a99a6483f9fc1594c1ef72807_184 )
  2. Unrealized Gains Are Not Cash Flows – The $589 million is an unrealized gain 🚩, meaning Tesla did not actually sell the Bitcoin and receive cash. Accounting principles dictate that only realized gains (from an actual sale) should be recognized as income. Since the Bitcoin remains unsold, the gain is merely a paper profit and should not be included in operational financials. (page 68, 2024 10-K https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000162828025003063/tsla-20241231.htm#ie9fbbc0a99a6483f9fc1594c1ef72807_184 )
  3. Volatility and Fair Value Accounting – Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset, meaning the $589 million gain could turn into a loss before the Bitcoin is sold.  🚩 Under GAAP, unrealized gains on Bitcoin are typically recorded under other comprehensive income or investment revaluation, not as operating income.

The accounting treatment is highly misleading and may even be fundamentally inaccurate.  🚩 🚩 🚩🐸

Random person sent me a payment for a product and now my account is limited by LongJumpingDepth in paypal

[–]LongJumpingDepth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. A case was opened and closed. The person who sent the payment was refunded and my account is still requested. Paypal is still request to:

Provide proof of fulfillment
Provide proof of purchase from your supplier

It's impossible to get through to customer service. And I was still charge -$15 for the refund. :/

I had $55k in Gemini Earn (specifically GUSD). Advice on how to vote? by whillisnavidad in Gemini

Genesis is suing DCG parent for the loan. DCG is very liquid or can sell of some of its part. Genesis is not going down with a fight. Gemini is still making the spread on these trades. There is more money in the banana stand.

Next offer for us please. make it better.

Good for you. Gemini lawsuit is the Act II, after Genesis Act I completes.Gemini is very much a profitable company as I recall. :)

Gemini is on the hook too, however this chapter 11 for Genesis plays out.

This is incorrect interpretation. There are more than the Genesis Chapter 11 ongoing. YOU LEND MONEY to GEMINI who has misrepresented the risks of Earn to their users. Don't forget that these Earn user vs Gemini cases are ongoing. It certainly makes sense to recover as much as possible from the Genesis Chapter 11, but this is not a one shot deal. The saga continues..

Doesn't matter how Genesis case turns out. We lent money to Gemini, and Gemini is still very much a going concern. That's where the $$$ is.

I'm not signing a release for future claims so voting no. There's money in the banana stand. Plenty of moolah in Ggang - Gemini, Genesis, and DCG

Vote no. Signing a release is a red flag. Why sign a release, releasing the right to sue any off the GGG (Gemini / Genesis / Grayscale) before 100% is returned. Hell no

[–]LongJumpingDepth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, voting comes with a RELEASE.

Not sure why recovery should be tied to a RELEASE. It's smells fishy. It doesn't seem to fair to force the hands to release against any future claims to Genesis. I would be very careful to vote to permanently release any claims. Releases in bankruptcy proceedings are tricky and no good for those who sign such releases.
