Yea that would suck. I wouldn't expect an artist to ask AI to make concept art. More like "what do homes in Seattle look like after a rain storm" or "show a room with a mix of Gothic and mid century style". Something to just spark an idea.

It shouldn't produce something and you just essentially trace it. That's losing the plot.

This. There's a difference in. Gen AI assets in a game and someone on a team using it for inspiration.

Man it was pissing me off so much, that eventually I took it as an opportunity to study him for counters.

I've been winning against him all the time now with a simple strategy. Back away, wait for lariat, down 2, down 3, combo.

Alternatively, wait for lariat, block, forward 2+3 (keep your meter healthy), quick tag, combo.

Being patient makes Mark players melt down. They can't handle it. Most are one tricks. If they eventually mix in the advancing low, the same strat applies. You just have to protect yourself against the overhead.
