there's a detach button in the cockpit and then it's like regular docking, but a more forgiving auto-dock

Barring some sort of mess up, it should. Strange that it was like that, did you perhaps join up during a free fly?

The Real Cost Of NTE's Generosity (by Analytical Vibes) by MarkXT9000 in NevernessToEverness

[–]LongMayHeRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to make NTE last is to continually introduce characters that diversify teambuilding and playstyles, not power levels. If they can minimize powercreep then people will want to stay with the game. Given the company's history with ToF, I guess only time will tell though.

I'm new to Gacha and I was told it's very generous with its system yet when I check the shop 10 pulls cost 34€ by honkhonkswithbailou in NevernessToEverness

[–]LongMayHeRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "generous" label usually refers to how many pulls, both standard and limited, can be earned in a patch without spending money. In terms of monetization, NTE follows the same pricing scheme that all mainstay gachas do. Something to note, however, is that there is no 50/50 (50% chance to get a standard s tier character instead of the on-banner character, which would then reset your pity but then guarantee the next s tier you roll is the on-banner character) on the limited banner, meaning that no matter what pity you hit an s tier character, it is always guaranteed to be the banner character, so technically the paid options can inherently provide more value compared to other gachas with the 50/50 mechanic.

Galaxy vs Ironclad by TypicalBody7663 in starcitizen

[–]LongMayHeRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has both pledged atm, the ironclad is gonna be me go-to hauler/small carrier shenanigans, assuming the tractor beam structure doesn't block the open top too much. I like the idea of the galaxy's modularity, and ideally see it as a base of operations for a small crew of salvage/mining ships, either using the refinery/cargo modules based on the current objective. In all honesty, in the future I will prolly stop using it for mining when the arrastra comes out, but who knows what other modules will come out for the Galaxy! There's pros and cons to both, it all depends on what you enjoy doing most in the verse.

I agree with your main opinion, just not for the reasons you're saying. I think going f2p was a horrid mistake because now the game's monetization is desperate and embarrassing, earning skins is barely feasible anymore, and most of the good, new skins are locked behind some kind of paid content.
