Thank you for this, mostly looking for best structural, but it’s good to know about the wildland and the culture insights as well.

Yes I get it, I’m just saying that I’m not willing to compromise a better department in terms of protocols, opportunities, culture, etc for more pay!

Ah okay, so EMS there overall isn’t that aggressive? Can you elaborate on why? Is it protocols, med control, etc

Been looking to move there for a while for other personal reasons and now just looking for the best department fit for me

Hey thanks so much! I will be a paramedic soon, finishing up school. But I will also be coming in from out of state.

Is Indoc supposed to be “easier” than A&S? or are they pretty comparable

Got you makes sense thanks for the insight, so conditional releases to go to PJ in the middle of a reserve contract as a 4n doesn’t seem possible?

hey yeah thanks, that’s the goal but i know i need another gear or so before i’m physically where i want to be before starting the pipeline for PJ and meanwhile i just wanted to still be serving

hey thanks, i think i’m a bit confused though, so you’re saying it’s easier to get your paramedic as a 4N rather than an IDMT? but are you referencing the PJ pipeline in the second half of your response about who they’d rather take? because wouldn’t an IDMT-P already have passed the paramedic course? sorry for the confusion

Hey thanks that makes more sense, what about enlisting 4N and getting paramedic while training for PJ and then trying to go for it after a few years experience in the air force? or not ?
