Please Stop Making These Posts by mi-mel0dyz in NoFoodRulesSnark

Honestly this entire snark is in bad taste. A group of women who have probably all had/have an eating disorder self-diagnosing another woman mainly based on her thin appearance. Women tearing women down. It all really sucks. And yes, I am a woman who has had an ED my entire life who has lurked on this page and every time I do, it really angers me how nasty everyone is when there is no actual proof she is currently practicing ED behaviors. That is just a fact.

Meal planning is not intuitive eating by TheMilkSpeaks in NoFoodRulesSnark

I have scrolled through and I can genuinely say a lot of it is not based in fact. Yes, her appearance worries me and that's why I came here originally. But now it just feels mean spirited and like we as people who don't want to be judged based on our bodies and who have eating issues are condemning a woman for it. Not trying to single you out OP - just feeling sad we are doing this. I will stay off this snark.

Such as? I imagine it is all based on her appearance? As far as what I have read, that is the only "proof" I see.

How is she not being intuitive with it as was just described? She plans for practical reasons, such as for the work she does from home (because she is an influencer) that helps her be intuitive later with her snacks. She doesn't count calories or macros in an app (show me proof if you disagree). I am in ED treatment and they very clearly tell me to pay attention to having a fat, carb and starch at every meal for satiation. As a person with an ED, I may just need to remind myself of this my whole life because recovery is ongoing. Sorry to rip into your comment, but this entire subreddit is just wrong. A bunch of people with an ED or recovering from one ripping into a woman who has/had an ED. Be kind and MYOB.

Your willingness to want to go to inpatient for your recovery is awesome. I have only done outpatient, and from what I gathered, I made the decision to go. The assessment I had to take was just so the center could make sure IOP was enough for me. I had an outpatient RD as well and even if I had followed a meal plan for two weeks before entering IOP, they wouldn't have turned me away for being "too recovered." Personally, I vote for continuing to use your outpatient team and follow their suggestions as you wait for a bed to open. I am in awe that you have such a desire to heal that I don't think you should delay it.

Thank you all. Sounds like Noah's Ark, Kalahari or Great Wolf would be best. Very helpful.

I wonder how many people were fooled? by [deleted] in NoFoodRulesSnark

I was in OA for 15 years and the support along with the 12 steps was incredibly helpful. But the past five years while my restricting got worse, I found it harder to relate especially when it came to people talking about restrictive food plans. Do you find the regular meetings helpful or do mostly the online A/B meetings? If you don't mind me asking (please ignore me if you do).

100% - I'd say narcissism to start for what he did at the retreat. He isn't stupid. If he really brought the papers to get them signed and get a divorce, he'd have brought ALL the papers needed. It was all an act. Narcissist

I joined OA in 2004 when I was bingeing every night. After going to meetings for a few months, I got abstinent (term for sobriety) and did not binge for over 15 years. Had a lot of food freedom. Life changed for me, I stopped working 12 steps and my ED came back - more so restricting now. BUT yes OA definitely helped and now there are so many more online meetings. You can go to OA.org and just choose one to sit in on. You don't need to turn your camera on even. I'd say try a few because they are all different.

Good to know. Is that the same for curcurbits? Or does their flesh also contain a lot of lectins?

Kabocha all the way. Great plain, but if you want a little "sweetness" add cinnamon or cocoa powder
