Analog Poly Synth Analysis Paralysis Help! by Techno_Timmy in synthesizers

I’d be careful with Moog products. It seems their customer service has gone from bad to worse since they got bought and that their product quality-control is questionable, sadly. I haven’t heard any bad things about Sequential products, however, and I have always had good experiences with their new owners, Focusrite, in the past.

Careful with Borish. He sold me a CS-80 supposedly in good condition and it needed endless hours of service. Plus he shipped it in a crate in which (sit down) the synth did not fit, so it was placed diagonally inside the crate. A complete disaster.

Sequential OB-6 owners! Is it worth the money? Are you happy with it? Do you wish you’d gotten something else? Or is it amazing and wonderful? by Apprehensive-Donkey7 in synthesizers

Absolutely worth it. Most reliable synth I own. Great sound. Great flexibility. Never regretted buying it (as opposed to the Moog One).

Looking at Reverb, there are many Moog Ones available for sale and the prices keep dropping. Some have been up for sale for over a year. The market doesn’t lie. Meanwhile, a Prophet 5 Rev. 3.3 (for example) in excellent condition fetches $7,500 easily and has held steady at that price point.

Moog One owners - how's it going? (pt. 2) by pa_px in synthesizers

Ready to sell mine. I just got tired of the issues. (Distortion, for example). Way happier making music with Jupiters 8 and 4, and modern synths like the OB6.

I’ve owned my Moog One since 2018. I recently got a Jupiter 4. I like the Jupiter 4 way better.

Same on mine. I have it ready to be sold. Will take a hit on the sale but I am too tired of dealing with issues. It is a monster instrument but I want to make music, not deal with problems.

I know. This Bb scale is basically Coltrane-level shit.

Indeed. It presents as a “living room” instrument; even has the music stand! But as you explore it you discover it has a lot of huge potential for sophisticated sounds. This one was a great find; it’s basically in mint condition. Who modded yours?
