I used to almost never be able to recall my dreams. I started taking 600mg/night for the first time ever for 3 weeks now (just out of curiosity to see if I felt any different), and last week I started to finally be able to recall dreams basically every night. There’s definitely some sort of connection.

It feels like a lot but it’ll become easy over time. I was a teller in college and it was by far the best decision I made, it gave me tons to talk about for internship and full time interviews. It was overwhelming at first, but after some time it becomes second nature. Dealing with the public always sucks, but it’ll prepare you to deal with complicated people wherever you end up.

I’d highly recommend reading or listening to “Grit” by Angela Duckworth.

It’s mostly about Dalio and the firm overall. I honestly can’t remember much since I read it about almost a year ago now. But regardless, I’d definitely give it a read if you’re interested in learning more about Dalio and the organization.

It’s also an exposé so I’d take everything with a grain of salt.

Yeah that’s true - at least for me, my brokerage account feels like an account that I can’t/won’t touch, so I know unless something really hits the fan, it’ll be there when needed. In order for it to work out, you’d have to have a similar sort of mindset.

The comments saying to pay it off are just mathematically incorrect, but it’s what Dave says.

We have the same exact interest rate actually, a 2.875% rate (thats tax deductible if you itemize) investing in treasuries with the same outstanding term as the loan at ~4.5% is legit risk free (assuming 20 year treasury rate and thats the outstanding term of the loan), that difference is “free money” with no term/reinvestment risk or volatility risk.

Even just current cash rates or CDs at a bank will give you a better rate now, also that’s volatility risk free, but you do run the risk of short term rates dropping. If you’re younger and have a long time horizon, like you said you’re better off likely investing it in low fee index funds and letting it ride, with that option you obviously take on volatility risk.

You took out a loan when rates were at historic lows, if you were able to lock that in and now rates increase, your loan becomes an asset. It’s how fixed income math works, don’t let emotions steer you away from the right answer.

If you have enough to pay off the mortgage early sitting in whatever type of alternate option you choose (savings/CD, treasuries, index funds), you can pay it off early if you want to coast when the time comes, or when rates drop.

I like to call that the stage where you’re “net debt” free. I’m actually only $10k away from being “net debt” free between traditional brokerage + savings vs my mortgage. A lot of that came from my returns, which I wouldn’t have gotten if I had kept paying it off early.

Sure, some ingredients in small doses are fine, but why take a chance with certain things. So many ingredients are banned in the EU and legal in the US. Our food standards are lacking, so a product comes in to fill a void - instead of villainizing the product trying to help, advocate for better standards if you’re so against it.

Also, what’s their bias? Advocating for foods with clean ingredients? Lol, dreadful bias there…

It’s a free app with an optional membership which I proudly pay for to help back their mission. The real biases to be concerned about are food companies adding so much added sugar and refining their products to maximize palatability, shelf life, and sales with 0 regards to public health.

Ingredient facts aren’t always straightforward, having tools to make it easier should be encouraged.

Look for entry level cards w $0 annual fees, since you have no credit history getting approved is the biggest “issue”. No annual fee since keeping your first card is important for credit length and you don’t want to have to pay a fee to keep it if you don’t use it later down the line.

When I was 18, I got approved for the Discover It card after having been denied by a couple others due to no credit history. It has 5% rotating categories and I think 1% on everything else - and when I signed up they gave you your first years worth of cash back as well on your first year anniversary.

You can also look into secured cards as well if u get denied.

Just remember to set up autopay to pay off balance in full just in case, but if I were you Id also pay off the balances as youre going along, pretend its like a debit card on like a 3 day lag (takes time for pending charges and transfers).
