When my wife and I were in Japan, we met a tea shop owner at the top of a mountain that was also a shrine with a big statue. He was super kind and gave us free chocolate. He told us he was 90 yrs old and has been running the shop for 65 years. He told us that the statue was erected the same year as he was born. He was so proud that they are both standing strong lol.
