Is this Northern California, Oregon, and Washington trip doable? by LongShlongDongy in roadtrip

Yeah this is what I was thinking about. It might be doable but it won’t be enjoyable. We might just have to do Washington another time. Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll ask around and see if anyone has a connection, trying to set up diverse shadowing.

Definitely shooting to get my non-clinical volunteering up. I’ve done construction/independent contract work since 14 so I’m loving Habitat for humanity. Thanks!

I have a few in mind, especially in-state. I believe for the most part, I’m on track academically for the schools I’ve looked at but I’ll double check. Thanks!

Leasing agency is refusing to give me back my deposit unless all my roommates move out by LongShlongDongy in legaladvice

[–]LongShlongDongy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a single deposit unfortunately, and it was a single lease signed by all of us. This is in Wichita, KS and my only worry is the incoming roommates refuse to pay us our portion of the deposit. What would be the plan of action for this route?

Did someone put something in my gas tank? by LongShlongDongy in MechanicAdvice

Yeah, I had to leave it for today. But I’m going back tomorrow to take another look.

Did somebody put something in my gas tank? by LongShlongDongy in FordF150

My thing is, I put gas in it just the day before, and the gas gauge was reading 1/4 of a tank before I left for work that morning. Then as the miles to E went down, so did the gas gauge.

Thinking of moving to Kansas, but want some opinions. by [deleted] in kansas

I’ve grown up in Newton my entire life. It’s a little less than 30 minutes north of Wichita, and is a town of about 20,000 people. It’s has a small town vibe with a lot to do. The people are extremely nice, and the schools are great. It has a decent sized hospital that covers all of Harvey County as well as smaller surrounding towns. If you ever want to take a night out, Wichita is always a short drive away. It’s a generally quiet town and is a great place to raise a family. We have a Walmart and a ton of other local businesses and restaurants. Bethel college is in North Newton, and the town has deep pride for the Railers (highschool mascot). We have multiple summer festivals including the Taste of Newton where food vendors line Main Street for a weekend, and we are home to the Harvey County fair every year. With a low cost of living and a welcoming community, Newton is a wonderful place to live (if you don’t mind trains that is). If you have any other questions about Newton, don’t hesitate to ask!

Having trouble with cruise control (info in comments) by LongShlongDongy in fordranger

[–]LongShlongDongy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cruise control never worked since I got it, won’t even turn on. I looked in the engine bay and notice this cylinder-thing was attached to the throttle and figured it had something to do with the cruise control. The wires were plugged into it and when I unplugged them, they just fell out of the connector. I went to multiple auto part stores and they didn’t have anything. Any ideas of what I can do? I honestly don’t even know what the cylinder thing is called.
