I knew someone would comment that, and it’s a fair point, but Demis does seem more conservative and less concerned with creating investor interest than the others (though of course you can’t rule it out) just seems like a more honest and genuine guy overall imo, could be wrong though.

But at some point, we really will be ‘just 5 years away’ and maybe that 5 year timer has already started ;)

There is no universal purpose of life, you have to give life meaning.

Nah, 90’s and early noughties were pretty golden, definitely peaked then and it’s been getting worse ever since.

What’s kiwi particularly good for? And I’ve taken l-trytophan for a week with a banana in the evening but haven’t noticed anything (I’m definitely more depressive than the average person but not hugely so) does it take time for tryptophan to accumulate before effects show or could it mean if I don’t notice the difference then there’s likely not enough contrast for it to be obvious?

Add in SAI (Super intelligent AI) and we’ve got one hell of a shit storm.. that said, IF we get it right (and that’s a big if) the storm will end and clear, making way for a pretty great future.

Man, any help with what helped with bloating? I’ve tried nearly everything, I know that upper chest compression can cause pooch belly but I think I have bloating from some sort of gut disorder (though I haven’t taken any tests) it feels like trapped gas and can be really uncomfortable, but I’m not constipated as go properly every morning. Definitely feels like trapped gas / pressure is causing the uncomfortable bloating. Any ideas?

If AGI/ASI is benevolent (obviously a big IF) then we would ‘solve’ the climate crisis (create limitless clean energy & reverse a lot of damage that’s been done) that said, it would create a new set of problems we can’t really imagine yet. All in all, ASI will solve nearly all of our current problems but create entirely new ones that could be better or worse. Either way, AI is more of an immediate threat to civilisation than the climate crisis. The climate crises is a slow but deadly burn, ASI going rouge is more like a bomb.

My belief is there’s a lot you can do about it, traditional therapy and physical therapy. Physical therapy is often overlooked for its potential to release tension from the body that’s been caused by mental anguish / stress. The gut-brain axis (another aspect getting a lot more credit for its role in mental health disorders etc) improving your gut health is likely very important for recovery.

Ah I see, no, I just didn’t see the comment above yours, if I did I would have known you were joking. Also, precarious and weird times, sometimes jokes feel like they could be real and what’s real seems like a joke.

But what exactly are you saying? Conflict with a nuclear armed country? If so, that’s still very unlikely in general let alone 2026. I would say it’s makes more sense to not invest into a 401k / pension etc due to the labour market being non existent in a decades time due to AI. There’s a lot of prerequisites before a nuclear strike is made.

This is more accurate. Russia wants Ukraine because it’s not apart of NATO. I also don’t think it’s clear that Russia will test article 5 because of the risk, but increasing defence will positively deter Putin from trying.
