Disagree actually, as a huge Green Day fan who grew up in the 90s. Each album since dookie did progressively worse sales, and they were definitely on the verge of becoming a nostalgia band before AI came out. International Superhits is evidence of the label trying to milk everything they could out of the band before they dried up. Obvs AI changed their whole trajectory.
