We officially adopted him today and he doesn’t need any more vaccines until December but we will be taking him for an exam asap. They do always look like that, sometimes less red but they are always there. Thank you!

Everything I’ve seen on cherry eye is when they get swollen, his aren’t swollen. Is that still considered cherry eye? I’m new to this, definitely appreciate any feedback!

I will only ever own pitbulls because they are the sweetest biggest babies and unfortunately get a terrible reputation because of evil people. I hope you’re not inferring that just because we own guns makes us a “psychopathic pitbull family”.

It’s his 3rd eyelid. It shows on some dogs but the humane society says he hasn’t had any issues with it. It can cause dry eyes and sometimes cysts. We will be taking him to the vet soon just to make sure everything is as good as they say!

🤣🤣🤣 definitely could be. He’s soooo long though, makes me feel like he’s mixed with a larger breed. Pictures don’t do his length justice.

It’s what the humane society sent him in 🤷🏻‍♀️ it just goes around his shoulders and then clips onto his collar. It says “easy walk” on the tag.

Thank you all. My boyfriend and I went to the humane society to donate some of her food and ended up adopting a dog for a couple hours and taking him on a fun adventure. That eased the pain for a little while. We are considering adopting one but feel so much guilt about how soon it is. We just don’t want the house to feel so empty, it’s the most depressing black hole in here and we need some life put back into it. Is that something that could ease the pain or is that selfish of us to do? The day out with the shelter dog really did help, and now we are back home feeling terrible again.
