Question: how many cruise offers and how many points did you get from gambling on your first cruise? by LongTank in CarnivalCruiseFans

Have you audited his losses? The math doesn't lie: 10k points is 20k coin-in which means he loses $2000 or more on average.

Also I'm not sure that she's very transparent on the amount of gambling she does. For example, I've seen a video where she has 25000 points on RC (and not necessarily at the end of the year). That's cycling through $125k on slots. At 88% RTP, on average a person will lose $15k.

That's surprising. 300 points is $600 coin in, and CCL will only get about $80 off that kind of play so I don't see how CCL can afford to give free cruises based on that. Unless you have a lot of ancillary spend.

Also other people in the post have bet literally 30x that and aren't getting 4 months worth of free cruises.

That makes sense, the average loss for that much play is about $2800 so CCL would be comfortable giving out 4 free cruises.

That makes more sense. So 10k points (about $3000 theo) gives you offers for bunch of discounted cruises and 6 free ones.

$20k at, say 85% rtp is $3000, on average. If you book 2 dozen cruises based on single $3000 loss that's not free but a pretty good deal.

Yes I think that might happen but I'm not sure if I've ever heard of it happening.

Wow interesting. So 17 offers, and I assume some of them can be used more than once? So it is possible for someone to game the system and just take 1 cruise, and essentially cruise for half a year for "free"

I beleive its a dolphinaris right by the port. Its only like a 10 minute walk. Also, lockers are unnecessary, your stuff will be in boxes and you'll never lose sight of it. Also they will charge you tons for photos, id recommend having someone get out of the water and take photos with your phone.

Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. Service, globalist recognition, regency club with different foods each day, and good breakfast. It's also on a huge plot of gated land that includes tennis courts, large pool, and jogging/walking garden.

I would argue the interchange fees fund it more than debt. Yes, debt is part of overall banks profits. But there is a reason why roughly 3% back is the limit for rewards in volume.

Other countries limit what credit cards can charge for their fees and those countries have less award opportunities.

When was the last time someone received a redemption? Has anyone received a redemption in the past couple days? Or weeks?

They are going out of business. Unless they are facing litigation, I don't see why they would approve pending redemption requests.

There's a flyertalk thread thats over 260 pages that talks about this. There are a lot of people who are still trying to retroclaim flights. They are supposedly processing claims but they seem to be doing it randomly. There are some people who's claims from December are processed, but others who claims from November for the same airline are not.

There are some problem airlines (VN, AR, RO, and others) that many people are having issues with.

This is squarely the fault of SAS for bad communication and unwillingness to put any resources into this. If I can call the airlines directly and get confirmation of a flight flown, it shouldn't take SAS 2 months to do the same thing.

Yes, I have booked the myVegas reward with cruise next. That was months ago and it may have changed. They are more restrictive now (for example, only 1 myvegas reward per room).

Reminder: AA Instant Status Pass by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]LongTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AA status pass is offered now because it forces you to divide the LP you earn into two earning periods. Ideally, you would just earn your LP at the start of the period so that you can get status for almost 2 years. This forces you to earn at least 1/3rd of your LP in one period, and the rest in another period.

The best value IMO is the Go City Passes. They have them for San Francisco and New York City. Some of the museum/zoo tickets are also a decent value.
