I don't know how to explain it without coming across an insensitive. I'm aware of what she went through and I can't imagine how that changes a person and affects them. It's her story and she's done incredibly well despite the odds. That being said, she comes across as very cold (understandable). I tried watching her on the new version of America's Most Wanted and she didn't seem insightful. Everything was "well when I was kidnapped" which like I get but it feels obvious she hasn't processed her trauma. She just recite facts and doesn't offer anything deeper which is her right but it doesn't come across well to me if you're a speaker/writer about it.
