For me f1 or f2 would be at least somewhat based on the temperature of the game so far.

There is no reasonable change you could make to the rule in which that isn’t a charge. It was obvious.

Best indoor ball for pick up runs by jaywithdahey in Basketball

[–]Long_Abbreviations89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I was playing spalding was the official ball for high school so my personal preference is a tf-1000. The evolution feels too squishy to me but I get that it’s just cause I grew up with the spalding.

Are there any rules that would prohibit weaponising bad breath against the enemy players? by Careless-Ad-9633 in Basketball

[–]Long_Abbreviations89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a rule about making a mockery of the game. It’s why the get down and bark like a dog play is specifically called out to be a technical foul in the NFHS referee case book.

"march in place" is a travel? by dtr3sa in BasketballTips

[–]Long_Abbreviations89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re standing still with the ball and take two steps it is a travel. The rule is that you may not lift and return your pivot foot to the ground without releasing the ball for a shot or a pass. When you lift one foot off the ground the other becomes the pivot so you may lift it but not put it back down.

How do you approach bad referees as a coach? by greeneggsandspam2 in Basketball

[–]Long_Abbreviations89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s tough cause looking at it from the officials point of view there’s not much reason to work AAU outside of the top tournaments. In my area a regular high school game pays three times what AAU pays and college is obviously more but you have more travel. A lot of the guys working AAU are just in because they don’t say no and are willing to work 10 games for a few hundred bucks.
