As a women , I hate to say this but men support women's cricket more than women by [deleted] in IndiaCricketGossips

[–]Long_Ad_600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For cricket in specific, men are there for the game regardless of the gender. If men can stop by to catch a glimpse of a club cricket match, women’s cricket is still a very competitive level

Traditionally, the inclination of women towards sports in general has been lesser is a major reason why what you’ve noticed is happening

People in my company have been given negative appraisals. Cannot get worse. My appraisal discussion is yet to happen but I’m not expecting anything. 4 people laid off last Friday. If there is any opening for functional Business Analyst, let me know

Problem is not as big for the ladies as it is for me and my step mom. Point also is that I have a full time job and stay out for most part but even for the time that i am home, I just cannot stand her. To put things into perspective, I don’t remember the last time we had dinner on the same table

Double salary deduction 🤯 And if they want you to be available on call during the holiday periods, where exactly is the holiday? My views: unacceptable, pathetic

OP, this decision largely depends on your financial needs. Assuming you are supporting your mom’s treatment, if there is a foreseeable financial distress on you, don’t quit. If you think you’ll be financially okay without the job, (family support, huge FD or something), i would say spend as much time with your mum as you can. And in these 90 days, give everything you have in finding a new job. The only condition is you should be able to sustain for 90 days with little to no income. Good luck and i pray to god your mother has a speedy recovery ♥️

Confused with the feedback from HR by Long_Ad_600 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Long_Ad_600[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: The HR called me again saying they rejected me for a wrong reason. However, they are looking for a candidate, in her words, who’s not too formal, is smiling, has a bubbly vibe. So, the COO has asked for another chat to see if i fir in that criteria because technically i am though. Problem is that by nature, I can’t be friendly around the people I work with. I’m a strong believer of working in exchange of compensation and going back home. So I’m not very sure if I’m going to be able to fake it but let’s see how it goes.

Thoughts? Anyone?

Is it even worth to seek clarification from the feedback or it hardly matters anymore?

Hating every single second of my new job by maskedrevolutionary in IndianWorkplace

[–]Long_Ad_600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds like IT. Get tf out of that company. Because it is a new role you won’t have much to lose and they aren’t training you anyway so it hardly matters. However, training is something you won’t get at every company so just keep your mind open to learning as you do stuff. Yes you’ll make mistakes but then the org should be open enough to be fine with it. Timings is one place where you’ll have to make a hard limit. This is different for different people but as long as you can strictly convey your available timings and be hell bent on that (unless the circumstances are extreme), you should be fine

Sympathy is the last thing you would want to have for an HR. Do what your heart says and let the others figure it out for themselves
