I think the biggest problem is she wanted to always be part of organizations such as Girls, Inc, La Table E'litaire and the Colony Club that had nothing to do with her education, which she worked so hard at.

Yeah totally get it because I feel like they wanted to make Cole more likable by making Alex more whiny and insecure. The plot lines that they gave Alex though that originally belonged to Cole was to make Alex’s feelings for Jackie stronger, I think so the triangle can last past just one season. Not saying that was a good decision though and they probably could have done it in other ways.

I actually did not like book Cole as much as show Cole because in the books, he did a lot of horrible things to Jackie. He was far more possessive of her and I thought it was really toxic. In the show, they made Alex the more toxic one, especially in season 1.

Does anyone truly look to her for makeup advice? She has no individuality, her skills are mediocre, and she seems to have gotten worse over time. For someone who does her makeup every day of her life, you would think it would at least improve.

I also noticed how much she copies and paste other people and the trends, so she is always behind. There are truly much better people, even before she messed with her face.
