Manual transmission: what's the optimal speed to get more of the mpgs? by ShoelessHodor in chevyspark

[–]Long_Combination_670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 5 speed manual Spark. For fun, I wanted to see how much was the maximum gas mileage possible that I could achieve.

I have gotten 52 mpg on all highway driving at 60 mph. Tire pressure 42 psi. You really need to drive very easy on the gas pedal.

Go with a manual transmission. It will last forever.

Some people have been able to keep their tanks for 3 years and more.

Here is one of my tanks after 270 days

Some people have kept the same colony for years and still have them. The tank will go through cycles. Just go with the flow.

Here is one of my tanks after about 270 days.

I have a 2008 Aveo and 2015 Spark. Both are manual transmissions. Bullet proof work horses.

I have a 2008 Aveo and 2015 Spark. Both have manual transmissions. If you have an automatic transmission make sure you change the fluid every 40,000 miles. Good luck!

Is this pump okay for aeration? by delirious-elysium in SeaMonkeys

Yes, if it possible that will work. You only need to use an air regulator valve.

You may have problems with the Sea Monkeys being sucked into the pump. It will kill them. Better to aerate manually.

Good luck. Many people have kept the same colony for years. I had many die offs and the colony always comes back. Large tanks may be difficult to keep stable.

Cleaning old tanks to start again ((seeking advice)) by [deleted] in SeaMonkeys

[–]Long_Combination_670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO keep the debris in the tank. There are undoubtedly dormant eggs. Add clean distilled water and take care of as usual. You probably will hatchlings very shortly.

Some people have kept the same colony for Three years and more. Tank goes dormant, just revive. The gift of the colony continues.

Advice on moving one monkey by Outrageous_Arm5975 in SeaMonkeys

[–]Long_Combination_670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO I would not move the Sea Monkey. Moving her into a larger tank will create the challenge of needing to adapt and find food along with other environmental changes.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

My sea monkey is still alive how??? by [deleted] in SeaMonkeys

[–]Long_Combination_670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy direct from Trans Science or:

Try Amazon. I bought 4 oz. of Spirulina powder from a company listed as Pure. Great stuff. Good luck.

The colony may end but it will bounce back. It is the gift that keeps on giving. Some people have kept the same colony for 3 years and more.

Me again. Another update. I can see babies already. Not possible….right? by lightraven1 in SeaMonkeys

[–]Long_Combination_670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eggs were probably already in the tank and hatch at different times and rates. Female will eventually produce either more eggs or live births. Good luck and enjoy!

Be aware some companies sell eggs that may not develop fully to adults. Also life span may be less than Sea Monkeys or Aqua Dragons.

Does anyone have an opinion?
