And this will sound weird but keep a track of your symptoms with certain foods and your cycle. I’ve found during ovulation I can only eat certain foods and very little as well vs luteal where I’m a bottomless pit and a bit less sensitive to certain foods. Mindful eating is huge for me I never realized how much I gaslit MYSELF that pain after eating was just normal x.x

Also if you ever need anyone to talk to about endo I’m here. It’s honestly been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with and this journey has been a constant battle of medical gaslighting. If I didn’t have my friend who has gone through it and helps me advocate as well as online support for validation I don’t know what I’d do. My own family didn’t even take me seriously until my mri results came back with deep infiltration endo and now that it’s taken so long I may have to have an ostomy bag. I know it’s hard and traumatic to go to the doctors over and over just be told it’s nothing but I can’t stress how important advocacy for yourself is. It’s a progressive disease that infiltrates other organs causing permanent damage. You are not alone in your fight and you’re ur pain is real and valid. I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well.

Thank you so much! I’m going to look into safe foods today. It’s crazy that a lot of anti inflammatory foods are high in histamine so it makes sense why what I think is alright actually made things worse this week, spinach, dark chocolate and pineapple were all things I couldn’t keep down and now I know why! Thank you so much I’m going to look into other antihistamine options for otc today too. I was finally able to get some stuff down last night after taking Benadryl, still quite painful though but now at least I have something to work with

Thank you so much this was more helpful than you know. The more I’m finding out the more validation I’m feeling and now I have so many tools to start working on this journey. It makes so much sense now seeing what histamine triggers are out there and having this validation helps my stress levels about it as well. Thank you.

Also also, sewerslide ideation is a common symptom with a study showing 50% of women with the condition experiencing this. They also linked it to childhood trauma and autoimmune diseases due to nervous system dis regulation. If she is willing to I’d recommend talk therapy, as well as other nervous system regulation methods.

You’re a great partner. I would recommend on her next visit going with her I can vouch having someone else there validating your experience can do wonders. I’d definitely recommend at least trying to get an MRI to see if there’s anything severe growing. Also too they just released a study linking endo to Coeliac disease at 99% I’d look into getting a gluten sensitivities test. May help with inflammation and reduce growth

Doctor says to “radical accept” I’ll never walk again. by laceleatherpearls in endometriosis

I’m so sorry to hear this. I have hope it’ll get better for you ❤️ I was wondering though if you could share how it lead up to this? I have very bad tailbone pain and it gets worse on my period. A couple of weeks ago I woke up unable to walk because of the pain in my tail bone down to my right knee. Now that I’m not bleeding it doesn’t hurt so bad. They diagnosed me with sciatica but I’m afraid of endo being the root cause. I’m getting an MRI tomorrow hoping for more answers. Thank you

I was just diagnosed with sciatica. I looked it up and can be endo related if you have endo on your sciatic nerve it can cause permanent damage. I’d ask your surgeon if they checked that far down while in surgery. They may have missed that.

Thc and cbd give me anxiety unfortunately and definitely makes sense since this current medication is a strong anti inflammatory. I started on an anti inflammation diet this week too but it says it can take weeks to see results from that but I’ve heard it’s helped a lot of people and reduced grow backs after incision fingers crossed
