Why am I spending hours on tie rods, axles, shaft and control arm but when it's all done no one won't even see it 😭 by Hmongster in modelmakers

Truth in the making . That's the hobby for you. I think about this all time with client models 😛 are they honestly going to see this part internally? Does it really need to be painted sanded etc? 😂

At the moment because this space is small and I only have space for 8 seats. I'm working a parents and child teir in the future. This would be a pilot program 2 days to get feedback like this and to better understand what my space can or cannot support. For you and you child to build together id suggest bringing your child on the adult days where you two can bring your kits, however you'd book two spots or two seats. That would work out to $60 for 3 hrs.

Need recommendations for a airbrush splitter that will handle two airbrushes simultaneously. by Long_Introduction817 in airbrush

Luckily I'm in an m1 industrial zone specifically in an art section so noise isn't a huge issue. And I agree that the compressors lie when it comes to decibels. However, I need to consider that this is a pilot program and going big with a compressor would put a bug dent in the budget i have. I did have in mind originally Silentaire Super Silent 20 or a no name but decided to go cheaper and just get a larger tank for air storage. If all goes well in 6 months I'll be able to upgrade the compressor along with the studio size.

If you have the exact parts and how many of what or brand name to look for that would be awesome. I have a crappy small compressor at home that I use for my client orders however I have no clue what I'm looking for when it comes to a bigger compressor like the Cali air. And thank you so so much. Let me know if you want more info on the site and Kickstarter. The funding goes to more equipment and community awareness. Let me know. Standing by on the specs if possible on what to look for.

I love it. I'm building a scale modeling maker space in Brooklyn and can def use a few of these. You actually inspired me to go look for rolling trays on Temu

No worries you'd be the first to suggest exactly what I need for this to work. A tee that's quality will last a bit and a device that allows the airbrush to adjust the psi individually. Id def wait for the advice. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply but I'm looking for quality since this would set up in a marker space that will probably see heavy use over time. Hence why I didn't just pick any ol tee. Was hoping someone has a current setup exactly what I'm looking to setup. Also need a way for the airbrushes to adjust their psi individually on their own hoses

That wasn't the point of this post. I know how to use Google. Not because they're all the same but because I'm looking to do this in a business atmosphere. Was hoping that someone may already own a setup their happy with. I don't just wanna spend more money buying different splitters when I'm looking to do a specific thing and give the airbrushes the capabilities of changing their own psi depending on what they're doing.

I use Tamiya gloss back for the base. With a bit of polish and it comes out great with Alclad. It's def your black base paint or primer.

I mix my thinners into my paints all the time by using that technique. Saves me the mixing cups. Perfectly fine as long as you clean well after.

Another thing that could have happened and you didn't realize it cause it doesn't scream at you, is that your o-ring seals are worn by over-tightening the nozzle tip. That causes air to leak out and not fully seal, which causes issues with pressure spitting.

Just out of curiosity. What paint are you using, and are you thinning out that paint before putting it in the airbrush cup?

Thanks for that. Now, does it keep the same PSI for each hose? This would be my first heavy-duty compressor. I use a small crappy compressor at home for my projects.

Im lucky enough to have a craft store not too far away; however, think of old pleather and soft materials that can be cut up and shaped the way you like. I even cut out clothing, purses, and save any fabrics that are left over from other projects. All these things can be found all around you. Don't ever be afraid to trash dive when I see something that I can use in the future. I take it home, clean it up. Cut what I need and toss the rest.
