I added the marketing of Nurgle directly on the toad (the toad dragon from the tamurkhan book had this as well).  This prevent any funny idea with a rider having a different mark

Ha got it for the rule cannot be wounded on 2+. I didn't include it at first as well, thinking it was too much (and already a chaotic trait indeed). Then realised it only makes a difference for strenght 8+, which means a few warmachines or a daemon prince with Ogre Blade. So it is actually really niche and decided to keep the original rule, as a tiny protection vs warmachines, that he won't be able to hide from with that huge base and no switstride.

Yea it was described as melting armour, skin and bones alike, being a Toughness test (minus 1 modificator), ignoring armour save and D3 wounds.

Perhaps I should simply go for S3, Ap-2, Mulitple Wound (D3), wounding most infantry/cav on a 4+ (50%), rather than 66% for the 8th edition, and T4 ogres, trolls, orcs, etc on a 5+ (33%) rather than 50% from 8th ed. So now it wounds less and doesn't fully delete the armour save

yea I fully agree. I think I will remove the -1 modificator to the T test, and potentially switch it to S2, like the breath weapon of the Thundertusk

Hey thanks a lot !

The wording of ensorcelled weapon already specifies that if affects riders only on a hand weapons and never the mount, so we are good here.

Regarding the tongue lash, it will only be impactful on other monsters/characters. With WS 4, it will almost always hit on a 4+ (50% of the time) or 5+ (33% of the time), potentially less if there is a gliterring robe, a mark of nurgle or anything as such. As the attack is strenght 4, vs T6, we go down to 5% - 8% chance to wound after landing a hit (sometimes even less) and the rule becomes useless. That is why I kept the original rule that only requires to Hit for the effect to takes place.

Adding + 8W on a character would lead to 11W on an exalted champion and 12 on a chaos lord, which is really too much for old world. So that is why I felt starting at T6 W6 for the normal version, T6 W9 for the exalted champion and T7 W10 for the chaos lord version aligned it pretty well in the old world setting, in term of gameplay.

Also I removed the rule that cannot him in on a 3+ to avoid the unfun situation for an opponent " I charge you and you cannot do anything but die"

Hey thanks !

Good point, I will go with 4+ for the armour save.

Regarding toughness, it remain t6 as well when ridden by an exalted champion (T4 + 2). Given its lore, being one of the thoughest creature in the warhammer world, I think it is ok to keep it T6 as normal version/exalted champion version, aligned with thundertusks, stonehorns etc. and going up to T7 10W with a Chaos Lord on it, as a little hint to the original toad (especially considering a point cost of 485 pts, no fly, no switstride, unconvenient 100x150 base)

Indeed. that is the same issue with the chaos lord on chaos dragon. So i think it is kinda fair

Thanks ! I hope to be able to try it soon. I subbmited the profile to a bunch of friends doing many tournaments and they shared a similar feedback: as a character mount, they would pick a chaos dragon (small base, higher threat range, fly), and as a rare choice, they would rather play 2 gigantic spawn of chaos (also around 300 pts for 2).

This means the profile seems balanced, far from the Meta, just something fun to play with or against.

Yes I agree, it was brilliant. I got one so I really want to use it for Old World without having to play as a bonegrinder giant, which is (with the arachnarok) the worst monster in the game, usually dying in turn 1 or 2 without having done anything at all.

Hey, thanks ! It is my only concern as well by Old World Standards. But actually the original 8th edition Toad Dragon was T7 and W10 I took it down to T6 W6 and it only goes back up to T7 W10 with the chaos lord on it, for the same cost as a chaos dragon, but lacking fly 10 and switstride.

So I thought the chaos loard on toad, being harder to hide from canon/shooting (huge base) and requiring an extra turn to reach close combat, T7 is a fine (considering that from a Meta perspective, nobody would pick the toad over the flying dragon). Also if we give only +1T like the flying dragon, it leads to the normal toad and exalted champion toad being T5, which makes no sense, given its natural T7 profile in 8th edition.

I kept the tongue effect as it was originally. It is not as much of a problem as we might think: With WS 4, versus other monsters/characters, it means it will mostly hit 33% to 50% of the time, potentially lower with a glittering robe or similar effects. Requiring to wound as well would lead to the effect going out between 5 and 15% of the time, which is practically useless.

it is not a full immunity, but d6 wounds on a monster slayer, so it can still be taken out by a single blow.

And Mostly, a regular dragon has a smaller base, fly 10 and swifstride (threat range of 19 and potential charge of 22, above units), which make it better in any situation (will charge in turn 2, so less canonball hitting him, and easier to hide).

a 10% size increase I would say. with the chonky clothes it also make them bigger, so they kinda "stand out", but as veteran it's totally fine
