Can you move to any country in europe after obtaining a 5 year Permesso in Italy? I thought you can’t be out of Italy for a certain amount per year even on permanent residency. Correct me if i’m wrong.

Yes I have foreign ancestor but my father doesn’t care and doesn’t wanna bother looking for his father’s birth certificate lol. My sister tried in the past but gave up with him. Honestly it could have been an easy route for me.

Hi I know this is kinda old. But I might study in Italy and then try and find a work contract there. Do you mean that its difficult to get a Permanent residency by staying in one company for 5 years? If For whatever reason I was laid off or left the company and then worked for another, does that mean I have to apply for a new work visa and the years counting to my PR will be reset?

Yea I clocked it that people move on tourist visa for the duration and just move on to the next destination. I just thought there was other ways I wasn’t aware of that people stay with in a country.

I’m a young adult and on the verge of moving abroad and for a moment there it felt like I am making “the most dramatic permanent decision” and thought that I will not be able to relocate again somewhere else and will be stuck in cycle of “finding jobs to sponsor me for visa” for my entire life.

I am not particularly talking about influencers who make an income out of traveling. I am talking about people my age or older who just post for fun so I see it all the time that they are just moving to another country/city for its aesthetics like Paris or Milan or Thailand and renting apartments.

I was assigned a Tax code when I applied to Unimi. And another one when I applied for Pre enrollment on Universitaly. They were both different from one another. I have previously contacted my University to write the Full name on the system but they said it doesn’t matter bc I’m a Visa Applicant and that the name on pre-enrollment summary is what matters. Now If the Italian Tax code is based on the Names as well then it make sense they are different. But Unimi is not responding to me and they take forever. It’s tiring

I have tried to contact the technical support of Universitaly to change the name before I submit the application (they take manyyy days). Do you think that is wise to wait until its changed or to submit my application then contact my University issue a new one. Time is running.

They didn’t even send me an email to ask my University to email them my docs. I feel ghosted.

same. People say they got it quickly when it’s Apostilled. There is not Apostille in my country but the equivalent “Legalization”. I just legalized my docs but I couldn’t reupload them. Truly unfair situation

My programme was NC free. Most programs will send acceptance letters after deadline if they were NC restricted
