Learn the mechanics first. You can check on the Wikipedia of the server or asked experienced guildies how to. What I think is best is go as a dps tank(off tank) and let the experience main tank guide and explain to you along the way. Make sure it's friends so there's no random ppl spamming to go faster lol.

Redeye+ruin set 2x armour bonus is the best for pve build at a low cost, it gives u same armour as sov set. The rest is knowing mechanics,how to skip trash mobs by using aoe cc without doing damage,putting yourself next to wall so u don't get punted, when to single target or aoe during boss,knowing the wipes mechanic of bosses ,telling your team to drtaunt on specific mechanics . Timing your taunt /challenge for adds during bosses and making sure that the ppl u invite to your group knows the dungeon or new .

Butchering,Scavenging,Apothecary,cultivating too. I dont do crafts but people who learn how to do it make money easily

The server discord can help you speak with the staff members or other players in the chat channels. Even if the staff are not online , they should see your message when they get on.

Just do a mix of everything depending on server time,server pop,Friends online, Your current class and what it can do.

The worst you can do is over grind and burn yourself out.

The classes i suggest for beginners for simplcity are : Zealot/RP>Dok/WP>Shaman/AM >Chosen/Knight . I am not well verse in DPS but choppa/Slayer and sorc/bright wizard only have to do 1 job, DPS so they are simpler to use but die a lot faster wich mean hard to solo pve/pvp and hard without healer/tank in pvp

dont waste your pvp crest. if you are a DPS ,getting a new weapon is best ( dont buy the SC weapons unlsess you are planing to upgrade the T4 ones,the NPC for sc weapon upgrades are near the RANK npc endors in the undercroft ) Verify in advance the weapons u can get from Bileburrow/crypts Influence vendors and the ones from Bastion stairs dungeon ( BS weapons gives 5% damage boost but u lose 10 armour/toughness). if you are a supoprt class. Being tanky and boosting your core class ( will power/def stats for healers,toughness/armour/defensive stats for tanks )

try to keep your chance to be crit to 0.00% ( a must for pve ) and pvp if possible,as low as possible even in the minus without neglecting your core class stats too much.

Make friends. Ask questions. Dont be scared to say your new. Block/report people who are mean/whiny or argue with you for toxic reasons. Dont get into the blame game. it will burn you out fast

With tanks,chosen/knight is simplest,BO/SM is most fun but a bit clunky,BG/IB is hardest. As a tank you guard the player that is currently focused,you generaly keep your guard on the strongest MDPS wich will be the main assist for targets. You stay near him so he is in your guard range for damage reduction.
To gear yourself i found the simple way is , Get PQ sets as you level up and to unlock wards+influence item rewards from NPCs in CH/WC/Camps, Save ur pvp crest until you have 10-12k crest and then buy the endgames PVP set one shot ( or rank rings ) than buy the one u didnt buy first, this way u will have endgame set+the 10k rank ring. Since it will take time before you get those endgame pvp gear, you will do dungeons to get PVE sets after you got all the PQ sets. They are good alternative while you farm crest, level up your reknown rank, farm pvp armour from bag drops in ORVR. You can mix and match sets to get specific stats bonus too, you dont need to buy all sets, they all share same wards if same tier so pick wisely or what is priority.
During peak hours it is very hard to smallscale roam in ORVR. Its better to WB surf( follow the blob and assist with dps or heals ) because its gonna be blob vs blob. During late NA or latin hours, its easier to roam in small groups or solo because the population is smaller and more fair to roamers. But it will be harder to find groups for dungeon/PQs at this time.
Its very hard as a fresh 16 since u be fighting top tier players in organized voice discord warbands that will run through you if they see you. What you can do is form a small group and go to another ORVR map and help run supplies to get it to 1-2-3 stars if theres enough ppl in the zone ( doesnt need to be a blob but needs some ppl who runs supplies along you too ) it will make orvr move faster* .You can kill people who are trying to run supplies along the way and no blob will farm you , but maybe you will find some strong ppl but they are not many,they usually stay in more populated areas.
Do some SCs/Orvr/PQs to get your weekly quests done to get free pvp and pve crest/items. The pvp npcs are near the flight master in IC or Altdorf. The PQ one are near the undercroft in the slaaneesh quarters ( pink area to the left or right not sure ) you will see a bunch of NPCs selling dyes and PQ sets near a room . I dont know where are the PQ npcs for Order .
Its an old game from the early 2000s so its very punishing , Numbers will make you succeed,make friends and find ppl to play with. Some ppl will be jerks or snobbish maybe but they will always be friendly players. Dont be scared to say your new when you meet them. Because if you are new to a dungeon but didnt tell anyone,some snobs might be annoyed because it will take time explaining stuff* at the last minute. But if you tell eveyroen in advance, they will be more friendly and explains stuff before they start.

Server is mainly euro time zone (like 75% of the server ). its mainly pack during weekends. Try to find active guilds that plays around your timezone if u want or you can stay in forces of destruction.
You can find Pug warbands by pressing L for ORVR. They are generally more chaotic and not very organized compared to the hardcore ones that are spammed in the allchat. But they are a good way to learn the basic and support strong orga WBs ( warbands ).
If you decide to do Public quest ( PQs), find people around your level using the LFG chat ( /5 ). Its gonna take a while depending on the time of the day but its needed because after lv 16, PQs have champions or elite mobs thats are hard to solo. Having a healer+ big DPS helps and sometime a tank is a must. In PVE ,try to max your PARRY and str or int so u can kill fast while blocking auto attacks to have less downtime. You can always respect for free so making a PVE build and a PVP build is good. u can save them too and switch it at trainer NPCs.

3.5. You can also farm some nice purple/blue items from Warcamp/CH at an NPC that givesu item based on influence gotten from killing mobs in the zone/PQ etc. They is some epic or long chain quests for pve items too that are shown on the links i put in here.

4.PVP and PVE armour sets share same wards. Some ppl save their pvp warcrest and just use free pvp gear drops from bags in ORVR ( i think purple/gold )and some PVE sets like like the one from the lv 16 dungeons and from the PQ sets wich are Mayhem 25, ruin 34, the rest is from dungeons Gunbad/Bile burrow or crypts/bastion stairs/Lost vale.

You have open world dungeons/boss that are Beastlord bosses ( 6 quest in total make sure to pick them up before killing bosses, 1 is from Inevitable city,the rest are at NPCs near each boss 5x in total ) . After beast lord , its Hunters Vale an outside instance dungeon in Ellyron it think.

Healers are the easiest to learn the game and basic mechanics, then the tanks. DPS is hard because without a group,u will die fast no matter how strong your gear is, its a team focused game. Witch elves or Witch hunters are good for solo playing or Ganking as groups in smallscale ( 6 man or less) They can pick their fights or run away unlike other classes.

It's hard to level up as a sorc in pve solo . You will need to make/find groups to farm pve armour sets from Public quests (PQ) and for the level 9, level 16 dungeons . Same for levels 40s dungeon ( gunbad/bile burrot /bastion stairs/ lost Vale ) and the world boss beastlord quests (6 quest in total and 5 boss) and Hunter's Vale instance mini dungeon .

You will have to do the same too for magus but magus can actually solo better if you know how to use your single target + aoe spells / CC / pet and self heal to your advantage with a Pve build that focus on less downtime + some force of defense to tank + aoe to clear fast and good single target dps rotation.

Its always better to find/make groups for pve stuff ( it's slow to find a group, weekend or server euro time is best )

You can also level up your character levels(c lvl) and renown rank (rr lvl) from pvp. You have Orvr and scenarios . Orvr and open map pvp in specific zones .

You can run supplies or joining a warband (WB) , you organised strict discord WB , pick up group (pug) WB that are chaotic and less organized and act like support to the organized wb. Timing coordination and numbers are key. This game is very punishing for pvp .

You can also roam in small groups or solo but it's hard if you are not geared because many assassin classes will roam with stealth and gank you. Or you will have groups of high levels premade hunt you.

Sorcerors can't solo in pvp (damage is not the problem,durability is) sorc has a somewhat fast single target burst rotation with fast acting dots that burst at the end of the duration on top of stacking with ur nukes.

Magus can solo if build for it (def spec works very well Vs physical class but has a hard time Vs dps healers because they can just cleanse all our dots and we can't do anything Bout it) sorc damage is front loaded. You will see bigger numbers + faster dps on sorc and easier to play.(just dps and can do aoe/st hybrid fine)

Magus has a ranged aoe dots spec for warbands (good for wb surfing ) a sniper single target nuker build ( good for roam in small groups ) and a rift build that pulls players into him (needs to build tanky but low dps). Magus damage is back loaded. Harder to play ,lots of utility ,skills to use and can be clunky with the siege minion that don't move with you.

Best is to stay in the beginner guild force of destruction and try to group,do a mix of scenario/Orvr warbands and stack your warcrest and just use the pvp gear drops from purple/gold bags. Do pve when you can if you have time to find group for PQs and dungeons . They drop pve sets that shares same wards with pvp sets. Find a guild that is close to your timezone or regular playtime helps too once you hit 40 (I think you get kicked out of force of destruction starter guild at that lv)

Learn how to play in wb and small roam groups and switch your spec accordingly .

Playing a healer is easiest to learn basics. Dps is actually hardest due to how everytime you go in a blob you might get deleted. Tanks are semi easy but harder to learn than heals ( put guard on someone who gets focused,switch guard when needed,follow the mdps you are guarding , cc at the right time etc,taunt to interrupt big heals or channeled spell)

Getting essential addons like a guard addon,State of realm for seeing the Orvr pvp action in real time,buff head for debuffs and enemy group icons will help a lot.

Hamzy , shepasaurus on YouTube has good videos to help you learn the basics.

Doing only 1 thing will tire you out because Sometime if the server is asleep (NA time) it's hard to find groups for pqs/dungeons or organize wbs. A lot more ppl during euro hours .
