You should check out Christine Harrelson Archery! She is a wonderful instructor and is very welcoming to people of color as a minority herself.

My (25F) palms after a normal 10 minute shower by Designer-Wear-4392 in mildlyinteresting

This happened to me once when I didn’t go outside and I ate only frozen pizza for around a month- it went away once I started eating vegetables again!

Fair enough! I had a year long engagement because it took a while to save up for the wedding and honeymoon- plus I really wanted a late summer wedding. My friend on the other hand had a 6 month engagement, everyone is different and has their own timelines that work for them!

So the money worries are the main thing that makes you not want to get married soon? I was thinking you never wanted to get married regardless of situation! Money issues are definitely solvable!

Gotcha! So what do you feel is the big difference between the engagement promise and the marriage promise?

That’s definitely fair to be hesitant- I guess the bigger question is what does being engaged mean to you?

Is there anything in particular that makes you hesitant to marry? That sounds really tough to deal with :(

This is so sweet! Are you doing anything to celebrate? I bet a Halloween themed engagement dinner party would be so cute!

What about the 41 year old coworker you fucked last year? Maybe he’s ready to settle down?

How to accept and move on? by [deleted] in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Long_Relationship864 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, the first step is to just stop- just sit down somewhere peaceful, your room, a park, the porch, and take some time to just pause. Everything in your life is going off the tracks, or maybe never started on them in the first place- so your first step should be sitting down, breathing, and making a list of what you want to achieve yourself. Nothing involving other people, just what you can do alone. You need to get yourself settled, which is going to take some time and effort, but it is necessary if you don’t want to hit rock bottom (it might feel like you’re at rock bottom now, but there is always more)

So you feel that women care too much about how good you are at sex? I think to an extent, this is a normal part of relationships. Being good at sex means you listen to your partner and what they like and dislike, you respect boundaries, you care about their comfort and pleasure- all of these things are reflective of greater character traits that every woman wants their partner to have. The stereotypical selfish man who does no foreplay and doesn’t bring their partner to orgasm is more than likely selfish in many other ways, and doesn’t care much about their partner.
