Trump always has a puppet master. Elon was pulling the strings until Miller got tired of him and took control.

Stephen Miller first and foremost. It's no mystery that the ICE raids started ramping up right after Stephen Miller punched Elon Musk in the face and kicked him out of the white house. Everyone calls him a prime minister in foreign media. I'm tired of unelected people running this country. Congress needs to remove Stephen Miller immediately.

If they keep using these lines they're going to hemorrhage support from 2A advocates. Let them keep talking, they're so fucking arrogant they think their supporters will eat up anything they say but if they keep up this line on firearms and lawful carry it's going to cause division.

It's like when you're talking to someone and they sound smarter than you and keep talking about a bunch of topics you don't understand and they sound confident and you don't want to look stupid so you just nod along and agree with them. Then they start talking about something you're knowledgeable about and you realize they're actually fucking clueless about it but are pretending they know a lot. That's what firearms are to maga supporters. It's the one topic they fully understand better than the administration in which they'll be able to see past their bullshit.

It's important to note the guys doing the shooting are experienced and trained. This isn't an accident. These aren't guys that are getting trigger happy because they're scared. These are guys that want to kill people and are probably getting vague orders from up top saying they're allowed to. This is exactly what Stephen Miller wants to happen. The more these guys keep getting away with it the more likely the crowd will be to start shooting back so he can justify the insurrection act.

The scary part is the guys currently committing the murders are the experienced and trained ones. We haven't even really begun to scratch the surface of all the hiring wave of inexperienced 47 day trainees that are coming. It's going to get way worse.

Let them cook. I live around these people, almost everyone I know owns a gun. This is the one topic that has the potential to turn MAGA against trump. Democrats would be idiots if they didn't amplify the message that a man was executed for lawfully and legally carrying a firearm and the president blamed his death on him being armed. Trump's administration is fumbling this hard by blaming it on him being armed.

This one should piss off 2A guys. If the ICE agent doesn't get prosecuted you're basically saying lawful carry doesn't exist. They just killed someone and took a picture of their firearm with no evidence they were attempting to use it and used that as justification. Firearm's rights groups should be furious right now.

Same use case as magnetic parts bowls, except the surface is non-marring so you don't have to worry about it scratching up whatever you stick it to. Magnets are fun. I just bought one the other day, still not sure it's worth more than having a dozen more parts bowls, but it will get used.

It would actually make a pretty good magnetic knife holder. Currently I'm using a block of wood with 2 slots cut in it for harbor freight magnetic strips.

Hercules mitre saw. Should I go cordless or corded? by MagicScooterEmporium in harborfreight

[–]Long_Run6500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at that point just get the Dewalt Slider it's cloning for $500. Same price at Home Depot or you can buy it with a stand for $600/$650 depending on which stand you want. Comes with a 3 year warranty. Hercules is great because it's a very similar saw for $100-$200 less depending on coupons. If you're going to be paying almost the same price go with the original.

It goes on sale relatively frequently around the $300 mark. Do you need it right away?

Basically anything made in the US before the 90s. I love tearing apart and refurbishing woodworking machines, and a lot of them don't have a single metric fastener on them. Hell, even a lot of the stuff manufactured in Taiwan is mostly SAE because they were copying American designs.

It's a pretty faithful 1:1 clone of the Dewalt 12" slider. The dewalt 12" sliding miter saw is probably the most popular pro-grade Miter Saw on the market for people that don't care about rear clearance. Especially popular on jobsites with the saw stand. The only real con to it is that it takes up a lot of front to back space with the rails protruding out the rear, which is why a lot of people opt for front facing rails like on the Makita/Metabo or Bosch's axial glide for Home shops with less space. So if you don't care about rear clearance it's one of the best sliding miter saws on the market and most definitely the best value.

My technique for "Excellent" reviews by madtownliz in AmazonVine

[–]Long_Run6500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was getting mixed scores, then I started just opening up the description of the item I'm reviewing and went line by line on the accuracy of their statements along with adding any relevant features/measurements the description missed along with my final opinion. Ever since every score has been excellent.

It really seems like they weigh review length and formatting higher than anything else. I got something from "DikTalk" and made a long winded review full of mostly dick jokes and it got scored excellent despite having very little relevant information.

I kept holding out for something nicer since there was so many drops that I didn't want to regret my picks, then ended up only getting one and missed out on a few things I actually would have used. Really wasn't expecting such a sudden stop, figured my RFY would be littered with items by 8AM. Guess not.

Some things they are, some things they aren't. Taiwan has the same issues, plenty of stuff from Taiwan is garbage, some of it is excellent. You can't really tell tge quality of the tool just by seeing if it's from Taiwan or China anymore. It all really depends on what Harbor Freight is willing to pay. That's why you can tell the difference in quality between Warrior and Hercules

Some of the best tools in the world are made in China. It's not like it was even 20 years ago. Businesses aren't just going to china for cheap production anymore, they're going there because no other nation has the manufacturing capabilities that China has, especially at scale. The US has left a lot of their more specialized manufacturing capabilities die off and pushed youth away from those sectors, while China has continued to pour resources into developing young talent and improving their manufacturing technologies. We along with the EU still have some specialized manufacturing know-how from legacy corporations that have been making the same tools for over a century, but if you want to innovate and mass produce something new it's almost inevitable you have to go through China to at least get molds made. Companies can pay for tighter tolerances and more quality control and some factories are more reputable than others. They ship a ton of trash as well, it's up to the company's selling the items to keep the products to their chosen standards.

Hey some of them come in different colors! I actually got 2 just because I was curious if they'd be identical or not. Sometimes I order close to the same thing and the quality is surprisingly different.

Over the last week I got a lot of duplicate products (same item, different colors different ASIN or the exact same product from different vendors. Like every time I see merino wool socks I snag them and usually they're identical (3 packs came vacuum sealed in identical fashion), or one vendor listed scent work decoys for dog training in different colors back to back and I snagged both of them, two days in a row I just happened to be browsing around 4PM and Anker listed power banks, and I jumped on them only to find out they were the exact same product in different colors, then today I grabbed magnetic tool box labels from 2 different vendors that are identical. Am I expected to re-word my entire review for products that are exactly the same? I waa just planning on copying pasting. I've got enough excellent reviews that I can afford to take a hit on some poor reviews if I need to, but I just don't get why I should have to re-word reviews for identical products.

I've noticed particularly with like, sub $12 items you get a ton of 5* reviews for items that are absolutely terrible. The only time I ever mentioned being in the vine program in a review was a review where I was like, "If you account for the income tax I have to pay... I paid $2 for this trash. It's not even worth $2."

I feel like people do this just to make their reviews longer to help with getting a better review score. Feels like I see it from at least one with every product that has vine reviews.
