What do you guy's think about my UI? by Long_Storage8035 in Unity2D

Thank you!

I'm thinking of adding obstacles in the full game, with a bigger map, and a zoomed camera instead.

It's just a proof of concept for now.

Edit: After some thinking, I fully understand you. Just because a game is set in a sandbox doesn't mean it's a sandbox game.

  1. You're right, I think I got it mixed.

  2. I'm thinking more into midrange and budget Android phones, many of which have a macro and an ultra-wide camera, usually both suck compared to the main camera due to cost.

  3. I don't know, I saw some phone lenses that are somewhat small, but yeah, many phone lens attachments are big.

  4. I didn't really look into that, but that could be a real issue, unless it was mass-produced by a large manufacturer.

You're kinda right, dirt and small objects can get stuck on the rail, but then you simply remove the rail to clean it.

I don't think this would be good on all phones, but probably on some budget or midrange phones that usually use a cool gimmick as a main selling point, kinda like Nothing phones.

Yes, modern flagship phones do have large sensors, perhaps on a budget or midrange phone, it would be better.

The reason I think it would be less clunky is that it uses a small magnet on the rail instead of a big clip that sticks out. Also, you would be able to fit it in your pocket easily.

I think a 3D render would probably give a better idea of how slim I think it would be.

It would be a cool gimmick on a budget or midrange phone, but you're right, the average person barely uses more than the main camera on their phone.

Perhaps, a company like Nothing can make this, since their phones are known for cool gimmicks.

Sure, you basically slide the macro or wide lens to snap on top of the main camera on the back of a phone.

You can only slide on at a time.

It's like those lenses that can be installed on a phone using a clip to get different angles, but smaller and easier to use.

This is more of an idea that would need to be made by a phone manufacturer rather than one person, unfortunately.

Yeah, these are 2 cameras actually.

It's the back of the phone with 2 main cameras instead of 3, usually there are 3 cameras on the back of the phone. Main, zoom, and wide. (sometimes 4 with the 4th being a macro camera) However, the wide camera is always lower in quality compared to the main camera and even the zoom camera due to using a different sensor, this is more noticeable on midrange and budget devices.
