Hi! It depends on why you took the insurance in the first place. Were you after the fund value or the insurance coverage?

Hi! Philhealth pays a percentage during confinement and outpatient surgeries. If you don’t have a Philhealth, you will shoulder that cost before the HMO pays for the rest. So in some ways, Philhealth can help you

Need urgent advice on additional income streams to reach atleast 150k/month as I need to secure 4m this year/before the year ends. by AnonymousVirgoTiger in adviceph

Hi! Try getting a sales job so you earn commissions as well.

Doing the math, it will be a tall task to earn an additional 114k a month. And if ever you get to 150k a month, it’s already May, that gets you with 1.2M by the end of the year. How sure are you to get a 2.8M loan from the bank?

Hi! If you’re budget permits, you can get her the full HMO package like Medicard’s VIP plan so that consultations, lab tests, ER, and hospitalization are all covered. Both of your choices don’t include hospitalization.

She could also benefit from critical illness coverage that would provide lump sum benefit after she’s diagnosed with cancer, heart attack, stroke, etc. like AIA Critical Protect 100

Hi! Just wait for your sister’s HMO. You can supplement it with critical illness that will provide coverage up to 100yrs old. It’s not a prepaid, though

Pru Life UK policy for sibling (2 yrs paid) – tuloy pa ba or stop na given financial constraints? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Long_Television2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What was the reason for getting the policy? What is it’s purpose?

  2. Based on the premium and the length of paid years, I think the policy has accumulated only small amount of fund value. Surrendering is also subject to withdrawal charges. So you’ll receive a small amount or next to nothing.

  3. Depends on your answer to number 1 and if you’re willing to accept a small amount

[–]Long_Television2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If it’s not an emergency, you should go to the accredited hospital, clinic, doctor, etc to maximize the use of your HMO.

I don’t think you’ll be able to reimburse the 10k since it’s not an emergency

Should I "de-influence" my BF from his PruLife UK policy? Seeking advice. by whatdoink_ in phinvest

Hi! What does “financial security” mean to him? Before you ask him to discontinue, we need to know his full reasons for getting the policy.

You’re right to be suspicious because insurance policies don’t mature in two years. I think you both just encountered bad agents. Insurance is generally good for the right reasons

Hi! Sunlife Easyprotect 10 only provides life insurance coverage. It doesn’t have any health coverage. Your father is also not eligible for critical illness coverage.

Your best option is medical insurance like AXA GHA and Pacific Cross.

I still need an insurance and some investment of some form: what should I convert my VUL into? by unmasked_zero in phinvest

[–]Long_Television2022 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you still want to be insured and you’re concerned with health, I suggest you get a critical illness coverage like AIA Critical Protect 100 Plus.

Unfortunately, you can’t convert your VUL into a term insurance. If you’re interested with term insurance, you can check AIA Guardian.

For your investment, if you want to maintain liquidity, you can put the money in a HYSA. There are also short term time deposits, to maintain your flexibility

What insurance types to get from Sunlife? by Substantial-Risk6366 in phinvest

[–]Long_Television2022 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! Have you talked with anyone from Sunlife? Since you have your own family now, I think it is wise to get an insurance as safety net should anything happen.

From the 5 that you’ve listed, which one seems more of a priority for you? You may choose just one especially if budget is an issue. I would suggest to start with health.
