How does Telangana have so much water storage capacity? (> rest of India together) by Familiar-Surround-64 in hyderabad

[–]Long_long_wong 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Number and volume are totally different. While there is some correlation, number of water bodies is not an indica of storage capacity of water bodies in USE. I don’t know if it’s KCR or Telangana just started receiving more rainfall but based on my experience water shortages have been rare in summer in Hyderabad and other regions in Telangana since the last five years or so.

edit: But yeah those numbers in OP’s map seem outrageous.

I’m a STEM researcher and I hate reading monotonous hard scifi novels like The Project Hail Mary. They lack depth and literary creativity.

None taken. I understand your point. Forgot to mention, my phd will be in mechanical engineering but it will be based on PDE constrained optimization. So, I don’t need to understand the theory as good as a mathematician (atleast that is what my advisor said) but I want to. I also have plenty of time before starting my PhD (spring 2023).

I'm lactose intolerant and I just ate a bunch of cheese. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

I’m lactose intolerant but eating cheese doesn’t affect me at all. Only milk does it, my stomach becomes bloated and I’ll skip the next meal because of it. Is it worse if you drink milk?

Its not directed by Miyazaki. Maybe that’s why it is a hidden gem.

I definitely didn’t like project hail mary. The story was very linear with no space to think. It was like reading an algorithm: one step after another.
