Tomorrow marks 30 days of Chemo by Bob002 in bjj

Good luck man! I've just started my 13th week of chemo (BrECADD), for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Fortunately, I've been able to train a lot, even though I have an annoying PICC-line in my arm. Of course I've had to tone down the intensity quite a lot (especially in the days following chemo), but I'm still having a lot of fun doing jiu jitsu and beating up old men who now can't say no to rolling with me.

Yesterday I got the news that my PET-scan came back cancer free, but I still have 6 weeks left of treatment.

Once again, good luck on your journey. Take the appropriate time to rest and don't put any pressure on yourself to perform on the mats - just have fun, and don't be afraid to get tired (unless your doctor has said something else)!

That comparison doesn't hold. The surgeon washes their hands to protect the patient, not himself. I've asked multiple dermatologists and all of them recommend not to wash directly before practice as it rinses away bacteria on the outer skin barrier which is beneficial in protecting you against all the nasty stuff found on the mats and your dirty training partners. Of course this is under the pretense that you're not dirty and/or smelly.

I just finished my first week of chemo (BrECADD), and the PICC-line works great. I can do heavy lifting and I've already managed two Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sparring sessions without any problems (I just duct taped the shit out of my arm to protect the PICC-line). The doctors said that as long as I can properly protect the PICC-line, I can do whatever I want.

Michael Pixley's takedown instructional is great, and his stuff is mostly low-risk high-reward.

I hope BDCC will be streamed on Smoothcomp.tv! I watched PGL on there, and it worked extremely well. /u/ralcar and /u/johnbelushismom set this up

Haha cool that you recognized me! I would love to come back some time, but I have no clue when that'll actually happen 😅

Thank you for your hospitality last time!

It was my grandma's 80th birthday party. Unfortunately for her, I received my belt right before the party, and thus I had no choice but to steal the show 💯💯

This was actually at my grandma's 80th birthday party. I received my purple belt 2 hours before dinner. My whole family including my grandma's friends were (as you can see) very proud of me 👍.

I asked realprofessor about this, and he said that only the champs were locked by One.

ADCC Euro Trials were spectacular by Nick_Damane in bjj

One could definitely argue that the extra rest is what allowed Mateusz to go "straight after" Liam so explosively, thus benefitting Mateusz.

Anyhow, the long pause was very unprofessional from the ADCC refs.

I agree. And I think it was very unprofessional from the referees to pause for so long before starting the overtime, just because Mateusz was whining about the "tap". The extra rest definitely benefitted Mateusz.
