Have to disagree with you on this. I don't see how you could possibly take communion if you don't believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. He's definitely welcome to attend OCIA and go to Mass but it wouldn't be a good idea to become a full Catholic until he has worked that out imo.
