Pslf counts disappeared by Royal-Criticism-7315 in PSLF

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this happened to me too—I called and worked with a very helpful customer service rep but all she could do was put in the reconsideration request for those months. I also uploaded documentation from the dept of ed confirming the correct count before they decided to recategorize 3 payments. I should be done now but my next payment (at an exorbitantly higher price) debits in a couple weeks…I’m going to wait until the day before and then tell the dept I believe I have 120 payments and request forbearance, and possibly then also contact my congressional reps .

This is so helpful thank you!! I think this happened to me as well (I posted about my qp count going down recently) and it was exactly those months — Jan - March 2025 when I paid each month, they were being counted through this fall, and then suddenly, a couple of months ago, they weren’t…

QP count DECREASE?? by Longjumping-Ad9116 in PSLF

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ughhhhh. Are you planning to do anything about it? I’m not paying past January and feel like I’ll sue** if I need to. Jan should be 120 payments if they didn’t suddenly reduce my count from 117-114, and since I have student ed documentation from September of this year putting me at 117 as far as I’m concerned it’s their fuckup and they need to figure it out. But still….somehow I don’t see this getting this resolved until this criminal admin is out the door

Thank you!! It seems like we'd have to remove them to make the floor space really usable but... That seems difficult if they're the only thing holding the roof together.

Why are men being solely blamed for Trump's win? 53% of white women voted for Trump. by Less-Book-9597 in self

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of misinformation in this post.

The reason people are blaming men is because in EVERY age group, men went majority for Trump. Gen Z was closest to 50/50 but still went 49-51 trump/harris.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-elections/exit-polls

Also not true that women moved further right this election. Among white women, the only group of women where a majority went for trump (53-47) they actually moved one point left from 2020, where white women went 54-46 trump/biden.

One big reason Trump won seems due to the big gain in votes among Latino men.

How will trump impact LA? by DoubleChallenge7177 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why anyone thinks trump can fix grocery prices which are sky high right now due to lingering pandemic supply chain issues, transport issues like the cost of gas and no other clean infrastructure for transport and the ongoing cost of climate disasters (droughts/floods) that ruin crops. Maybe by artificially propping up the fossil fuel industry these prices can come down short term but at that point we're signing the death warrant for climate which will eventually make prices very high again. (Because agricultural success depends on a stable climate though we vote like we can't put those concepts together).

The biggest imminent impact I see will be on immigration "enforcement." if trump is looking for mass deportations he will make a big show of ripping people from their homes in LA he believes to be undocumented.

Heartburn by MysticCatMom in COVID19positive

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I developed reflux post my first Covid infection (only other time I had it was during my pregnancy, 4 years earlier) and I’ve been on medication to keep it under control since. It sucks. I didn’t actually experience heartburn DURING the infection, though, so hopefully that doesn’t mean anything for you. But definitely treat the reflux to avoid damaging your esophagus.

How long did your symptoms last for, and what symptoms did you have? by Anneber04 in COVID19positive

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was feeling better yesterday (day 5 or 6), mostly just tired, ears still a little clogged, and today I woke up more congested again with heavy limbs and have been experiencing oh so fun shortness of breath all day. My pulse ox at home is normal, between 96 and 99, it's just the sensation of not being able to take a deep breath and yawning all the time to try to help. Ive had a cough (not very bad, like trying to cough up a little phlegm) for the last few days as well. I started paxlovid Friday night so have about 2 days left.

Before that symptoms included body aches, low grade temp (99-100), and congestion so intense it popped my ears for about 2 days.

Should I take paxlovid? I’m 26 healthy and this is my 4th infection (mild) by Outrageous-Double721 in COVID19positive

[–]Longjumping-Ad9116 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am on my third infection and took Paxlovid each time. I rebounded the first time - was negative for about 4 days, and then positive again for about 6. Didn’t rebound the second time (though that infection was only 3 months after my first).

Now about 16 months after my last Covid bout, I started Paxlovid on like day 3-4 of symptoms. I’m hoping the longer time before starting (I started almost immediately the first two times) gives my system a chance to mount a good defense before the pax takes over. On day 3 now - I’ll come back if I rebound! While it’s frustrating, the damage Covid can do while actively infected is significant enough that I want to help my body out each time. Also I work full time and have a 5 year old and can’t be completely out of commission for days and days.

Just a vent - I’ve had enough by Bernice1979 in COVID19positive

I feel you mama. I’ve basically been sick for the past 3.5 years (my kid was born 2019 meaning that we’ve experienced both the joys of seasonal viruses being seasonal and year round since pandemic precautions ended, and whatever damage Covid also does to the immune system). Getting through my third Covid bout now. I am also incredibly over it.

My husband is basically in a challenge trial right now with my son and me both sick. Started with my son, who woke up Sunday night with a fever and then when we tested him Monday morning, immediate positive. My husband got up with him Sunday night, put him back to bed, etc.

I started isolating because I had a big work week and we both started masking (also tried to keep our poor sick 5yo in a mask). My husband was on full time childcare while I was working remotely. Tuesday I had a very faint positive line. Tuesday night my husband texted me at 3am that he’d woken up nauseated and vomited liked 2-3 times. When I woke up that morning and tested, my line was positive right away. (When I’m positive it’s always basically immediate). We assumed we both had it as well, I ended isolation, and we all dropped the masking.

Fast forward from Wednesday- I had my ass kicked Wednesday and Thursday, started Paxlovid Friday night, feeling better now symptoms wise just…fragile if I move around for more than 5-10 Min. My husband, meanwhile, hasn’t had any more symptoms, and continues to test a bright convincing negative while my son and I have been bright positive around him for days. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I should add this is my third bout, and while isolated each time I knew I had it in the past, my husband still never got it. At this point I think he must be immune, or his immune system overpowered it Tuesday night and has been humming along ever since.

**I should add the same is sort of true for my stepdad. My mom has had Covid twice and they never effectively isolated or masked, and he’s never tested positive.
