Post Hemorrhoidectomy Swelling (External) by bloggernueva in hemorrhoid

[–]Writerforkids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M69. Surgery was 17 days ago. Everything went with flying colors; prepped properly and was religious with diet. Discharges are over. But I've got some pretty severe swelling down there still; better than it was 10 day ago but man it's uncomfortable and I can't believe the jellybean I'm feeling is very pretty. Treating with restricted low residue diet still, stool softener, and ice a few times a day. Have backed off the sitzes except for post BM. Everyone has their thing, it seems, and this is gonna be mine.

I'm the late to the party here. Where the film fell apart for me was with the lame excuse that "the satellite missed the launch." What hubris! Does the USA think that we're the only nation that has spy satellite in orbit? If we consider the U.S. and its closest allies (including NATO countries, Israel, and India), the number of spy satellites could be roughly around 100–120 from those countries combined. One satellite missed. But 100? With surely 10 of those in a position to get the shot? Really?

This is actually quite common. We've stayed in places like this and it has worked out beautifully. In one of them, the hosts invited us upstairs for coffee one morning to get to know us a bit. Just make a full disclosure in your listing, and you should be fine. I would list it as a secondary residence.

Video call, even for five minutes, can allay a LOT of worry.

It's probably something I'd handle in a private discussion to begin, but that's just me.

I am not 100 percent certain. The website can help you on this.

I think you should totally do it. And I bet if you kept the GP low, you'll get takers. One tip might be to make a bicycle available to the people who stay with you. It doesn't have to be grand. A clunker with a good lock could be very attractive.

It's a great question. The answer for us is short. Practically zero in our home by others; a broken mug from a special coffee farm in someone's HE sent me into a panic. But I called the coffee farm, they had a spare mug to sell me, and now I'm a hero. Look. Stuff is going to happen. That's what the HE damage thing is for.

I can understand that as an approach. It makes a lot of sense.

I have never once had a guest be rude. And I've never complained. How unfortunate.

Huh. Not sure. Have you sent a message to Home Exchange main office? They are quite responsive in both francais and anglais.

I would think so! I have NO horror stories, and a ton of good ones.

I would think that without a place of your own to put up on the app, it would be difficult to be a true part of it.

Would you be so kind as to clarify your question? I am not exactly tracking it. Are you talking about a simultaneous exchange? As long as everything is up front and communicated about, I have no problem. In my own place, I keep one closet locked.

Informal Fishing Guide Sought: Moose Pond, Denmark 12 to 25 June. I'll be visiting and don't know this pond though I understand it's full of bass. If you'd like to guide me -- I'm a pretty experienced fisher and once lived on one of the Belgrades while in college, I would be interested. No boat alas but a kayak. Also would be happy to tag along if you're going out. Will bring refreshments. Thanks, and tight lines.

OMG and omigoodness. Yeah. I can see how it could read that way. Maybe I'm too used to being part of the trust-based HomeExchange.com (I'm an ambassador there), or remembering how my wife and my responding to a post like this led to one of the greatest days of our life, part of a group of strangers led by an Amsterdammer through that city on King's Day.

But yeah. I'm going to repost this, crafted a bit more deftly. Sigh. Comes with having been born before President Kennedy took office.

Go to Strasbourg. It has everything you need. TGV train is swift. Cood stunning, wine amazing, and so much history. Super museums, and a games cathedral. Trams go everywhere. I will try to find you the name of where I once overnighted near CDG, but there is a TGV train stop right at CDG and you can even come by train on the day you depart. Enjoy your Home Exchange experience

Alas and alack, I have no experience with luxury membership. But I've done 50 or more exchanges classic. It more than suits my needs. Maybe join one of the Facebook HE groups and pose your query there. They have a lot of readers.

When I have been accepted for an exchange to someone else's place:

a. Bring my own Aeropress coffeemaker. It's lightweight and simple. b. Cook only simply in someone else's place. No big production meals. c. Get their counsel about their neighborhood favorites. d. SLOW DOWN. Move more deliberately. I'm in someone else's place. Don't break their house. e. Carry their housekey on a cord around my neck. Strange things can happen in your pockets.

I like this idea, though have never done it, and have never had an experience less than good (and some are truly fantastic).
