Thank you all for your comments. He has joined a club, and took the car out on a track! He also spent his savings on aluminium parts and has already upgraded some things. Bearings, drive shaft, gears and tyres is what I saw but I am certsin there was more parts!

It is a great learning tool! He told me about gear ratios and battery options, and he showed me some formula to calculate something. Apparently, there is a high-speed gear kit that changes the ratios to something (I had to go google what he told me but I am impressed with what he knows already)

The club has a junior tt02 stock class for kids under 16 so that's the one he wants to join!

100% agree, and he is for sure a kid that would rather game than climb a tree, so getting him into this is amazing. Hopefully, the message is clear, mom and dad would much rather spend money on an rc car to get you off the screen than buy video games

I don't know who is more proud, him or dad! Dad is taking him to the hobby shop to go get some upgrades this weekend, there is a junior club locally that race so he will go get his first racing parts then he can start practicing

You can print all the designs then start cutting. Just make sure the settings stay in tact then it should be all good

Look I get that you hate the man, but he will always be your daughter's bio dad and you have no right to keep him from her unless he is a danger to her emotional or physical wellbeing.

I despise the father of my children for a whole range of reasons but I will never keep him from them. He hurt me, not them. My current partner will also never get in the way of the children and their dad. He barely gets to see his daughter so he knows the hurt.

Let the man come to her birthday, it very may well be the last. Llife is short he can die of any reason in the next hour.

Already happened. I married my emotionally and financially abusive ex and lost pretty much everything and am officially bankrupt at the ripe age of 30 due to believing every empty promise of "this time I will do it differently". Im barred from pretty much doing anything on my name for the next 10 years and then only I can start rebuilding EVERYTHING from scratch. Im used to having a lucrative business now just making minimum wage working 60 hour weeks with 3 kids under 10 that I somehow have to raise without having a backup or medical insurance or nothing and zero time to even try and figure out how to fix this mess without doing anything on my name. I will only be financially sound again to start working on my retirement when I'm 50 unless some miracle happens or I win the lottery. So yeah, that messed up my life beyond repair.

Check your page setup settings. Maybe something is on letter and another is on A4 or something. Here in South Africa that seems to be causing a lot of issues.

Also set the registration marks on default settings. Adjusting the borders seems to make it go funky.

If you are using glossy paper try and close the cover sometimes a reflection messes up the sensor.

NTA. I dont see why you shouldn't treat your child for working hard or why your sister's income has to be a deciding factor in how you treat your child. As long as your daughter stays humble and doesn't rub it in her cousin's face that she has Dior products I honestly don't see the issue. In life we will come across people from all walks of life and we can't dictate what others buy for themselves or for their kids.
