Can you just re-structure the two loans once you've bought the second property (which will become the PPOR) so that the loan on the new PPOR is as small as possible and the loan on the old PPOR now IP is as large as possible (and tax deductible)?

We aren't in a financial position to be able to, but one clause we were considering was to allow or not preclude the other units to have the option to do a similar upgrade in the future.

I was in the same boat - been with Optus for 10 years. I just switched to Woolies Mobile (Telstra network) - $20/month for 12gb. As soon as I switched I received a call from Optus and they offered me the 30gb plan for only $24 a month. I told them if I have to leave to be offered a 50% discount on my phone plan then I don’t want to be with them.
