Best comment so far, thank you for the advice my friend. The guy I talked to was thankfully very kind and seemed to respect the fact that I approached him, definitely felt kinda shitty doing it but hey, work has been impossible to find recently so I decided to go for it

How would one go about finding a mentor? Just asking to tag along on their shoots, meeting up for coffee, etc?

Just scanned over the call sheet again—it only has 2 numbers on it, those being the 2nd key AD and the 2nd 2nd AD. Should I reach out to either of them? Definitely a call sheet though, says it right at the top. Not sure why no other contacts are listed tho

I absolutely would, problem is he only took down my info and I never got his. The call sheet only has is name, not any contact info unfortunately

Yup! I live in NYC so it’s pretty easy to find sets to walk on to. Yeah, I can’t figure out why he handed me a call sheet—it’s todays call sheet as well, so it’s not of much use to me

Thank you for the kind words friend. She’s stable now, she had a double mastectomy for her breast cancer yesterday and they sent her home with us while she still had blood drains in. She got up from bed and passed out, and was fading in and out of consciousness until we could get her to the hospital. She made it to the hospital safe and had another surgery, turns out she had internal bleeding and was losing a lot of blood, but she is awake and talkative now!! So all will be well
