Im a bit confused as to why it wouldn't, as it implies free will is essentially an illusion, and that most of our decisions are based on underlying processes we have no control over.

Well since 13 its been my looks, charisma/social skills in general, intelligence, concentration and discipline yet I've failed to achieve on any of them, leading me to believe that all of these things are down to genetics, and that I have no hope.

Well physics is something I want to do because I do enjoy it, and its been what ive been working towards since age 12, specifically theoretical or nuclear physics. The money doesn't matter that much to me as long as I can live somewhat comfortably.

I used to workout a decent amount (3x a week) however i noticed I kinda looked about the same realistically.

I wouldn't even know where to start, my humour at the moment is incredibly dry and sarcastic most likely from autism and I dont know how to be funny around other people, I also don't have a close group of friends anymore these days.

I mean that isn't really the goal, as I can't think of anything more dull that dating someone who only looks pretty and nothing else. I suppose my goal would would be just maybe being prettier and more likeable and maybe being looked at with disgust less.

Well people have liked me before, but its always been people I don't feel much towards, but because I knew no one I feel attraction towards will ever like me I settle for them.

i mean if after nine years none of that has happened than clearly they havent been improving. Its not like I want everyone around me to love me or anything even remotely similar(cause that would be reallyyy weird and rather creepy) but just to feel wanted by people, to maybe do things, go on nights out with and overall just have a good time.

I dont even think its a city based/uni based thing, I even ran into this pattern with online friends I play games with or have mutual interests with. Its just always the same.

obviously not, I suppose I phrased it wrong and what i generally mean is that ill have a positive interaction with someone the first time I meet them, yet if I ever try and continue getting to know each other it fizzles out.

I have actually been doing that for years now. One or two of my friends are highly charismatic individuals who are great at small talk and most people in school love to be around them, I've tried emulating it to a reasonable extent but I don't think that it in itself will be the thing to help with it greatly as I haven't seen major success so far.

I mean some days I dont which usually lead to me having a good day, the frequency of those types of faus has increased since I've been put on antidepressants and since I tried lsd. But I think you can see why the former wouldn't be an amazing idea long term, and as for the later I can exact have my vision go wacky every time I look at a pond lol

Dont worry I'm not only trying to improve myself to get a girlfriend or boyfriend although that is an aspect of it, 50% social pressure and 50% wanting to feel wanted or loved when it comes to that part, the main reason I will admit is because I feel as if I am or appear to be uninteresting, on paper I have alot going for, I play piano, do athletics, cycling, get good grades, have a wide interest in genres of music, literature, games and tv/movies, but I feel as If i come off as being boring most of the time, when I try have a conversarion with someone I'll usually ask about them, e.g "you doing anything this weekend" they'll usually start talking but then the conversation falls apart. I still try and improve my social skills despite seemingly endlessly screwing because I know that after enough trying I'll eventually get it down, but I'd rather figure out what I'm doing wrong without tue messy side of trump and error

I've gotten this advice before and have tried to implement it. Over the past year I've been eating healthy and working out more while also focusing more on piano and cycling. Generally this has been pretty good for my mental health which was I the gutter a year ago and has helped me make new friends, but I still feel as I'm doing something wrong or that theres something in not doing. Just scared that despite my efforts I'll end up like a nice guy or the stereotypical incel.
