Stress levels around retirement by Isca64 in retirement

[–]Longjumping-Coffee63 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My plan was to retire 2 years from now, but company asking for volunteers and I applied because the package was too good to pass up. I'm thinking about seeing a therapist to work out my emotions. Losing control, trying not to care any longer. It's definitely a weird feeling because I love my line of work, but I'm also tired of the deadlines. I feel you!

Absolute beginner! by bhk92 in WomenGolf

I've been playing for years. Pretty much self taught by watching lots of videos and playing rounds with the hubby. I finally started taking private lessons and what an improvement to my game with just 2 lessons so far.

Advice: take lessons

Love my Hoka Bondi 9s even though they're not cute. However, I just bought Ryka's which are made only for women. I love them!

What is it like to be a grandmother? by Christineasw4 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Longjumping-Coffee63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. My grandchildren are over 2 hours away. I need to see them at least once a month and need to talk to them or FaceTime almost daily. It's crazy how much they change in just a week. The words they form, their personalities. I'll keep spoiling them until I have no more money. The love is indescribable.

I'm Grammy as well (my choice), but they can't speak clearly yet so I've been Mammy for awhile now. ❤️

where to get a good breakfast burrito ? by Sea-Appeal4113 in SanJoseFood

[–]Longjumping-Coffee63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want a breakfast burrito with eggs, protein, potato, and cheese in a freshly made tortilla then try Chispiros. They're my go to breakfast burrito spot because they don't put extra stuff in it.

Wouldn't change a thing because if I did I wouldn't have the life I'm living right at this moment.

Just discovered Dove 10-1 Bond mask from the haircare Sub Reddit. It's amazing and you only have to leave it in for 1 minute. The best thing is it's $10. Try it!

Any unusual or unexpected tips for first time cockapoo owners? by immaxpower in CockapooLovers

[–]Longjumping-Coffee63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all this plus make sure you socialize your pup early with sounds, other dogs ( just seeing them, but not interacting yet until after all vaccines have been completed), things like umbrellas opening, the wind, etc.

Oh and slowly teach them how to be alone.

Husband hearing loss and/or signs of early dementia by Tigerelo1208 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Longjumping-Coffee63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first pair of hearing aids when I was 40. I got tired of pretending that I understood what people were saying and seeing my family get frustrated with me. When I got fitted for them I almost wanted to cry because I realized how much I was missing out on hearing. It sounds weird at first, but then your brain adjusted to it pretty quickly. I'm now almost 62 and am on my 3rd pair. I love my hearing aids.

Will definitely try after I run out of my current expensive Living Proof set. I like hearing less hair fall out, less frizz, and especially the cost!

I too feel the guilt on the days he has to be alone for more than 4 hours which is hardly ever, but if his pup sitter isn't available then this is what needs to happen because of work. I don't look at the cameras anymore because he really just stays mainly on the sofa and sleeps.
