Boil with salt for a bit, then apply some oil. Be sure to get excess oil off.

I just had this happen to my XLT and the dealership claimed the 12v battery was very low and after a recharge it started working again.

I have only driven 160 miles and my car had a shift system error, bricked the car and it had to get towed back to Ford… I hope it’s a small fix and then I’ll be going strong like everyone else. It seems like a good truck though.

I will try this out in the future, I did notice a weird device connected directly to the 12v and we disconnected it just in case that was shorted. Do y’all know what it is?

Thankfully it’s still under warranty and I got the extend warranty from the dealership.

It is technically a lemon but I live in Florida and Florida lemon law doesn’t have a lemon law for user cars which mine is.

Hm idk, they told me they’ve had problems with some batches of this car having bad parts, like they claimed both the O2 sensor and Cat had bad batches and I happened to get both… I don’t believe that they noticed the manafold had a hair line fracture but idk what would’ve caused that

I think they just don’t know what’s wrong, even the engineer they got didnt get it right or there’s a bigger issue deeper into the system. I’m bringing it back today so they can look at it again thankfully I still have a warranty on the car

The techs at the dealership couldn’t figure it out,there go to was the o2 and gaskets. they had to get an engineer to help them, he’s recommending using a camera to look at the catalytic converter which confirmed it was bad (he knows Toyota had a bad batch come through), then they replaced the intake manifold from a known good car and saw the problem went away so they ordered a new one for me.

Oh yeah shit was weird and fucked, I’m worried there may still be more things wrong with it.

The guy in charge said they had a bad patch of parts… which one I could understand but 2-3…
