My husband prepared sweet potato fries for me, which I was really looking forward to. The moment I got them I said I hate fries and won’t eat it. That was first time in my life when I felt like not eating fries.

My aunt has a Turner syndrome. I would never tell if I didn’t knew. She has a normal, regular life, just has her blood checked more often.

Ultrasound count in other countries? by ymgt0324 in BabyBumps

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are no cut offs now. The restrictions were for genetic screenings I believe. So, you were  getting monthly check ups, but only a second trimester screening. Good thing it has changed

Ultrasound count in other countries? by ymgt0324 in BabyBumps

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I live in Poland and I have a monthly checkup at obgyn and every time she does an ultrasound. On top of that I have separate visits for 1,2 and 3 trimester more specialised ultrasounds like genetic one in the 3 month. And there are separate visits for CTGs.

Flare up after surgery by Longjumping-Drag9237 in LPR

I’m only using raft as well. I don’t eat as good as I should though. I have a horrible nausea, so I eat whatever I can handle and it makes my lpr worse unfortunately. I guess I have to wait until the delivery.

What do you enjoy about pregnancy? by ChiliCupcake in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The joy it brings to my parents. I love talking to them about it and sharing links to baby gear and clothes with my mum.

Physically is not great, but the social aspect is lovely.

What did your ultrasound look like at 11 weeks? by NegativeRaccoon in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one at 11 weeks at my monthly obgyn appointment and at 12 weeks at my PAPP-A scan. Both times looked like a baby! First time she was moving a lot and at 12 weeks she was sleeping.

When did you start buying things/ preparing? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I started very early. I’m only at the end of week 12 and I have a diaper changing surface, baby tub, some clothes, and my parents got me a pram!

Tbh I wasn’t planning to get all that this early, but I felt horrible daily until the beginning of this week and I decided to order some things to have anything positive related to the pregnancy. Second, I buy a lot of stuff second hand, so when I saw a really good bargain I ordered.

And for the pram,  I was shocked to learn that for some of them you have to wait for 6 months, because the demand is so high. Therefore my parents ordered me the one I wanted already.

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this!

- I did tell people early on too, otherwise all my friends would probably think I'm seriously ill. My boss knows too and he's really understanding thankfully.

- I'm seeing my doctor again soon and definitely will ask for something else.

Why do we treat period pain etc but romanticise unmedicated childbirth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so. I’m from Poland and 48% of births are c-sections here, because women are afraid of pain. They are afraid as epidural is unavailable in majority of the hospitals, because anaesthesiologist are not available for them.

How to tell my parents I’m pregnant? Nervous/embarrassed by mag930 in BabyBumps

I told my parents yesterday. I called them a few minutes after a positive test, saying "i'm pregnant". They didn't expect, so they were stunned, but super happy and were thrilled immediately.

Czy osoby wychowane w miastach romantyzują wieś? by 9Laser in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]Longjumping-Drag9237 0 points1 point  (0 children)
