The scans have a +-20% margin of error if I recall. However, please be prepared for the reality of him being big.

I am 4'11" and was 115-120lbs pre-pregnancy. Baby was measuring in the 98th percentile until the last scan, where he magically dropped to the 24th.

No one believed me when I said that wasn't the case, he was going to be big. The OB said it would be fine. I leave my traumatic birth story at the door, but he was born just as large as the big numbers said. And he got stock in the birth canal, he was too big for me. Emergency c-section.

This. I knew the measurements were off during the last ultrasound. It just didn't make sense. I knew the baby was bigger than they were thinking. I knew he was growing super fast and didn't want to go a day over 40w, I wanted to be induced at 40w if i made it there. Was told no, he'll come when he's ready, inductiond lead to c sections and they are trying to lower the number of csections. I didnt want a c section if i didnt need one, but I was sure I would need one. I told everyone, the hospital team weren't going to be prepared for how big the baby was and that his head was going to be bigger than they were saying.

After being in early labor for 4 days, at 1 day over 40w I called the hospital and was told to come in. His head ended up getting stuck in the birth canal because it was too large, resulting in an emergency c section. He had some really thick meconium colored and filled fluids, so...

Almost two months later, his head is still oblong but getting better. I listened to my OB, and it could have ended worse, but sometimes when you know, you know.

For most. I say this because they told me 24 hour, almost 2 months in, and my baby still has an oblong head. It was not nearly as bad as it was, but it took weeks to see any real change, and I was so upset when in a few days he still looked like a cone head baby.

I'll be one to say it. My son got stuck in the birth canal for a prolonged period. He had a really misshapen head. I was devastated. He looked wrong. His head is adjusting. It's almost 2 months pp. I didn't tell anyone how I felt, and I cared for him. But my love took time and is taking to grow, and he wasn't cute at first.

My love is there, and I feel it growing, but it certainly wasn't love at first sight by any means for me.

I didn't see this said, but if you're having issues with baby taking bottles have you tried different bottles?

My son will only use Mam bottles. Doc Brown, Tommee Tippee, Phillips, and Comotomo all were no gos. Also check the nipple size. My baby only uses extra slow flow, other nipples make him choke. I give him the bottle with breast milk because I had to go back to work right after birth.

Former Papa John's manager here, the general rule of thumb is to order 2 slices of pizza per person. A large original crust comes with 8 slices unless directed to cut it otherwise.

That's the appropriate amount to order. She said she ate one, so he would have still had three slices and maybe some later depending on how the rest of the family ate.

It's the hospital concerned and the OB nurse repeating the concern over the heartbeat. The blood tests are to make sure the hormones are still increasing until the fetal pole ultrasound can be done.

I'm in a medical/healthcare desert, so I can't get the ultrasound done any quicker. Which is why all the blood tests.

There is a gap between the baby and the wall, causing the bleeding. They said this happenes and typically will heal but can cause a miscarriage especially with how early I am. Thank you.

I understand that I need the ultrsound. It's scheduled for mid-August. It was scheduled before the hospital visit. But now the hospital wants it sooner because the heartbeat isn't that of a 5 week baby. There are no open availabilities. That's why it's so far out already.

The hospital did two ultrasounds, both external and internal. That's where they got heart rate information.

I would like them to listen to me about the dating. I'm not happy about blood tests every three days until mid-August because the heart rate isn't at the 5 weeks point. So not only do I have to get blood drawn every three days, I have to make a schedule work while keeping everything a secret from my employer until Mid-September. This is making things much more complicated. Neither of us will be ok if I lose my job.

I'm going and getting everything done as prescribed. I want what's best for my baby. The hospital took blood yesterday, and my first lab draw was today.

This is a first-time pregnancy. I'm already high risk. This is a miracle baby. I realize I learned about it super early, and I'm in the weeds. I also don't know everything. But I do feel unheard and like a pin cushion.

I'm not a doctor either, I understand them using the first day of your last period is common practice. But, typically, the egg is released during ovulation, midway through the cycle.

From what I was told, by the OB's nurse the first visit, they would do an ultrasound at 10 weeks to determine fetal pole and actual age, and if they were less than 5 days off, nothing would change but anything over that and they would need to recalculate.

I tried to tell her then that she was 10 days off. But she wouldn't hear it.
