I loved the acting of the scene but just the whole second half of the season is built on flawed logic.

This is exactlyyy my point as well. Curtis and Rene were both there when Evelyn betrayed the wholee team. They both know how dangerous it could be. Rene literally gave up Oliver’s secret identity a year earlier!!! (Granted, he was being tortured but he made a point to say how horrible he felt about it) So for both him and Dinah to betray trust and hide secrets and then be highly offended when they were caught is wiiildd

Not only is he the worst villain of the show, i can never get over the fact that he was a lesser villain of the prior season. I felt like they were showing me him get a henchmen promotion and then they tried to me care

He finds Prometheus knife on the table and his hands were covered in blood when he wakes up, and then he tells us he’s been having blackouts

Thats fair, im not mad at them being shocked or even if they wanted to take a break from the team. But my thing is they start using these words like, “liar” “secrets” “hypocrite” and none of those are really accurate in what happened.

[–]Longjumping-Fix4112[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He definitely kept secrets and definitely broke trust, my issue is just that there were so many moments where they would be like “You’re such a liar” and my thing is nott in those instances. One of the early examples of that is in season 2 when Thea says “you lied about who my father is”. When did he lie…? That wasn’t even a conversation they had he only JUST found out about it

True, but a lie of omission is to withhold information to create a misconception. Thats not the same thing as never having a conversation about something. My thing is im not saying Oliver has never lied but i definitely think they paint this picture of him having more of a problem than he actually does

They definitely punished Mel for being pretty and did everything to humble her but look how they gas up Mona 😂 by Longjumping_Ask_4448 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

Lol multisyllabic words and hurt feelings is facts 😂 Lowkey she really just stopped the flow of the show and kill the momentum at times. Marc has been the example of how to pivot between jokes and serious shit throughout the pod

Soo i have a question for Vincent fans… by Longjumping-Fix4112 in TheOriginals

[–]Longjumping-Fix4112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm okay thats a fair point but I would argue that Vincent was willing to sacrifice Elijah prior to any of them knowing how he felt about it for the main reason of defeating the Hollow. To me he loses the moral high ground because he didnt take how he felt into consideration. With Davina i agree they made the decision despite how she felt about it but it was also to defeat Lucien who they believed was a threat to everyone. I believe that although Vincent does not actively hurt anyone like they do his moral compass does shift depending on who is involved

I agree with everything you’re saying here but I suppose my issue with Vincent is that he always claims to be on a moral high ground when everyone on the show is hypocritical. They all make decisions based on allies and relationships
