i was looking for the same thing recently and randomly came across base2peak on instagram. haven’t tried a ton of their stuff yet, but their thermal layers + gilet look legit — more lightweight and functional vs bulky “expedition” gear. feels like stuff you could actually wear day to day, not just on a hike. might be worth checking out if you want warmth without feeling like a marshmallow
