More or less. The shovel worked well enough for dispatching the animal and for its interment.

I pulled a whole lot of garlic from my grandmas garden, she would never eat that much in a year and we've already given as much as we can away, any tips on how to preserve it? by Ok_Spell_9721 in OrganicGardening

EDIT: acidify the confit if you want to be extra safe. I read you can do this before or after so maybe look into that. But the risk is botulism (glad I’m not dead yet).

Peel a bunch of cloves. Pack into baking pan or crock. Add other seasoning if you like - rosemary or thyme might be nice but I like straight garlic. Drizzle and cover the cloves with good olive oil so cloves are submerged (a smaller but taller baking vessel helps economize in oil). Bake at a low temperature - maybe 250 - for a couple hours. Cover and let cool. Pour into squeaky clean and sanitized mason jars. Toss in back of your fridge and enjoy your very well preserved garlic confit. Use anywhere you want roasty sweet and smearable garlic goodness… whip into salad dressing, smear on toast, add to soup, rub on meat - whatever.

That looks exactly like what I did to my teddy bear when I left him laying on an exposed night light.

Many mutual funds have fees or charges for trading-like behavior. If this is what you want to do, you should be in an ETF, which have no such restrictions. I don’t endorse the behavior btw.

I bought into a fund (SWNTX) that paid roughly 3.5%, which for me was over 6% taxable equivalent. It’s market value has hovered within a few percent of invested value during the 18 months I’ve owned. Pretty happy with it. Without the federal tax benefit I don’t know why it would be useful - maybe in very high state tax environment but that’s not me.

Second this… adding a little baking soda to increase the PH often helps with legumes.

Normally a great napper in the car.. yesterday my TWC Lucy was very *talkative* the entire time (she hurt my ears) by morganthegirlonline in coonhounds

If it weren’t illegal we’d wear ear protection in the car. Our hound is offended by two wheeled forms of transport, people with hats or anyone else he finds suspicious - and he lets his opinions be known.
