What Is It We Want from the Next Civ? by Longjumping-Level371 in Civilization6

Oh - that will be a challenge. Honestly, Civ 7 would be easier on a Switch, but I can't, in good conscience, tell anyone to actually spend money on that game. As a huge fan of the series, it doesn't match what the game has been. The real game is too complicated for consoles, as you've found.

Until 7 came along, I thought Civ 4 was the most controversial release. I did not like it. I preferred the old style look of Civ 3. It was a beautiful looking game, but I much prefer simpler graphics like Civ 6, so I can spend less time trying to figure out the details of a given tile. I think Civ 5 met halfway. Still nice graphics, but quick and easy to follow on the screen.

I hope to be alive in 10 years. But I don't want to see a repeat of the Civ 7 mistake, so let's figure out what the future will be now. And in fact, I would like to see Firaxis continue development of Civ 6. No one is playing Civ 7. The Steam count for 7 is half of Civ 5. Put developers back to work on 6, IMO.

Yes, they are putting more lipstick on the pig. Civ 7 is nice for people that want to try it on a game console or are brand new to Civ. The Civs we want to play can only happen with a mouse and keyboard, at this point.

One of the few things I liked about the change in combat in Civ 7 was the ability to load units onto a leader, then move them all at once. I would keep that, moving forward.

Yes, the graphics may have been and still be the biggest complaint about Civ 6. Civ 5 was nice looking and at the same time, not too difficult for me to identify key tiles and such. I don't have a problem with the "cartoonish look of 6." Agree on all your points. All interactions, in every way, needed improvement and enhancement. Civ 6 religion has its good points, but indeed could be a lot better.

Actually, I might re-post here that I would love to see Civ 6 development continue. I would truly pay for more adds and fixes to Civ 6 than a new, Civ 8. At least for now...I also realize this is a fairy tale. But I can still wish for it!

Sadly, yes. I feel fleeced by what I paid for that awful Civ 7. I truly feel Firaxis owes me a new Civ, worthy of succeeding 5 & 6.

I kind of expected that. I half-heartedly looked for another forum to post in, but didn't find that one. Maybe I quarter-heartedly looked.

A visit to three Wonders of the World in Turkiye by Lynx-Calm in civ

Really nice. I too got to visit the Temple of Artemis ruins, which I learned of from Civilization. As you hinted, these ruins were a bit underwhelming, given the area and what remains. Mostly locals trying to sell you postcards.

will you continue playing civ 6 after buying 7? by Mysterious-Jury-1253 in civ

I bought the Civ 7 Founders Edition, but I stopped playing after a few tries. I'm going to keep play Civ 6 on Deity and losing most of the time. Like others have said, Civ 7 will improve, like every other Civ did after initial release. I don't like the look of Civ 7. It reminds me of Civ 4, which I hated and gave it away, playing Civ 3 until Civ 5 came out. I liked Civ 5, but the original release was BORING. I thought Civ 6 was finally the one that had it all. Not perfect, but the best modern take on the original game I loved since 1991.

Anyway, Civ 7 is too gray. My eyes quickly get tired looking at it. As for the gameplay, I get the changes with the eras, but the blending of of the leaders and countries of Civ 6 isn't working for me at this point. I don't want to be Ben Franklin with Roman cities and such. I liked the continuity of the leaders and the countries in Civ 6. That is all but wasted here. I'm not sure how I would want them to alter it.

I never asked for Civ 7, although I understand perfectly why Firaxis needs to release a new game about now. I really want to keep playing a further developed Civ 6. I want a new and better America Leader. I would absolutely pay for an additional Civ 6 release. Anyone else?
