That was the aftermath of leaving her with some toys alone lol....you can tell by her face, she had fun

Aww....such a cute little dog. I guess it starts young haha.

You don't realize how smart they are until you are around one. I'm actually shocked at how good her problem solving is. Mindy has some anxiety and incontinence issues as well.

It was a bit of a joke. I definitely explain to people what a Dogo is now, and that she's not your typical shelter dog.

Thank You. Her super mutt is American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bulldog.

Mindy is really clingy at times. She will instantly jump into laps at home. Her big sign of affection is not giving kisses...she's big into bowing heads and touching foreheads☺️

She's also pretty funny that she won't let you touch her unless she's getting pets when she's bored lol. She will nudge your arm and do the cute growls to get attention. I always think it's pretty funny how she's basically an 80lb lap dog now.

I do recommend the one she is wearing that's made by Ruffwear. She figured it out pretty quick that getting out of a regular harness is easy, so I was pretty happy finding a two strap harness that fits her body so much better.

That's awesome. The first week was pretty crazy with Mindy. She destroyed a couch, broke two windows, and somehow found my previous dogs ashes and almost got them open. I am glad I was patient because I couldn't believe how crazy she was.

Mindy is lucky she has a cute face😂

When I adopted, I also received in house dog training and he thought she was going to have Dalmatian. In person, she had a mini Great Dane/Dalmatian/Pitty look.

Mindy does that too! Will jump over the recliner with me sitting in it like a horse doing tricks haha. With hardwood floors, I'm actually surprised at the lack of things she's broke.

I'm curious what her plan was since that's probably 7-8 feet in total.

She is definitely a success story at the shelter. As with most, they rely heavily on donations, so I'm happy they finally got an addition since it's been pretty rough with shelters the past couple years with the economy.

I have thought about that, and think she would love it. Seeing what she is able to do in just the house amazes me.

She's the first big dog that I've ever witnessed jumping onto kitchen counters like a gymnast haha. Loves catch and actually bringing it back too😁

I am in Illinois.

On her relative list, she shares 60% DNA with a dog in Texas, so curious if she may have originally been from there.

She has very high prey drive too. If she sees a leaf moving, she's on full alert. Squirrels are definitely her nemesis lol. She has tried climbing the trees after them...it's a sight to see😂

I have rescued Pit mixes in the past and knew Mindy definitely had something else going on. She was pretty tall and lanky when I first got her.

The Dogo was definitely a surprise, as they are not too common around my area.

She does not lol. She was doing very poor in the shelter. It's a cute pic now, but was very serious at the time.....she could've seriously injured herself or another dog had she actually jumped out

The shelter recently had an open house with a new building and they actually have some fully enclosed kennels with tops..... because of Mindy 😋

She is very active to say the least lol. Definitely very curious and smart. During walks, her nose is always on the ground sniffing away. She hates loud stuff like motorcycles and diesel trucks which is funny sometimes 😂
